REVIEW: Two Left Feet by Jenniffer Wardell
What do you do when you’re one of the 12 Dancing Princesses but are really, really bad at dancing? For Thea, it was a choice between boredom and accidentally maiming her dance partners, and she wasn’t terribly fond of either option. But just as the nightly dances start to get interesting, their father hires someone to discover his daughters’ secrets and stop their nightly adventures. Can Thea and her sisters figure out how to keep the party going?

I had been eyeing some of your other novellas after finishing “How to Win Over Your Arch-Nemesis.” The fairy tale of the 12 Dancing Princesses has always been a favorite of mine so voila, choice made.
I immediately noticed the sisters are POC. Because hells yes and why not? Thea is also not the oldest and as a younger sister, I’m all about us getting some of the limelight. She’s a reader too, using her magic mirror to read her mbooks. She’s smart, quick thinking and fearless in working towards fixing problems and going after her HEA. So if she can’t dance without hurting her partner enough to send him to the ER, well, she’s got a whole lot of other wonderful going on.
The purpose of the nightly dancing sessions is explained as a very modern and believable outcome of responsibilities and duties with little actual cash to back those up. Thea’s love interest sees beyond her two left lead feet and is also ready to fight for their HEA yet is still honorable enough to wait to meet her father before taking the relationship much further. I loved the princesses’ father doing his best with his motherless daughters and with twelve of them to find matches for, he’s more open to men who aren’t princes. Plus with his future son-in-law’s business, maybe Thea’s sisters will find their perfect HEA too. B
