Hachette’s Little, Brown will publish writer David Foster Wallace’s unfinished novel called the Pale King. The story will include notes, outlines and other materials. Michael Crichton has been battling cancer and died yesterday at the age of 66. I've read almost all of Crichton's work. The Great Train Robbery was my favorite. I loved his fictional "introductions" or "acknowledgments" which enhanced the believability of his stories. He was a great storyteller. RIP Crichton.

Possibly one of the most famous authors of our generation has died. Arthur Clarke, author of the short story Sentinel which spawned the Kubrik collaboration, 2001 Space Odyssey, died in Sri Lanka today (tomorrow in Sri Lanka).
