#Giveaway: Between the Lines series by Tammara Webber
After I’d finished Something Like Normal by Trish Doller, I wanted to read more about young people, just out of high school exploring their newfound independence and dealing with adulthood for the first time. I went onto Twitter asking for recommendations and Author Julie Cross suggested Tammara Webber. Webber’s books had been recommended to me before, but her series was about Hollywood and I didn’t really love those types of stories. This time, however, Webber had just released Easy. And with one book, I was in love.
Despite my earlier reservations, I thought Webber’s voice was so fantastic, I went and bought all three books in the Between the Lines series. For some reason, I started with book 3, Good for You, and worked backwards. While Easy seems to be everyone else’s favorite, Good for You is mine.
The reason is that Webber takes two characters – the good girl and the bad boy – and does some interesting and subversive things with them. Neither are wholly as they seem and each is perfect for the other. Dori, in particular, could have been such a pedantic annoying character. I mean, who really likes a do gooder, right? Yet Dori truly loves giving of herself but it doesn’t mean that she isn’t without the same desires and longings that other girls her age have. There’s a poignancy in the storytelling in Good for You that is hard to find in other New Adult books.
It is a testament to the skill of Webber’s writing that she is able to create such a loving and interesting story around a girl whose life is built around good deeds and a boy whose life is built around misdeeds.
When I heard that Webber was writing a sequel to Good for You, I admit to having feelings of apprehension because while the ending of Good for You wasn’t an extended happy ever after, it was a believable happy for now. Was she going to screw with Dori and Reid in a way that I couldn’t deal with? Fortunately, no.
The giveaway that starts today is for a signed paperback set of the entire Between the Lines series. Here Without You is the fourth book in the Between the Lines series and it tells the story of what happens next, after Reid and Dori fall in love. You can pre order Here Without You at Amazon. The story will be available on August 6, 2013, at most etailers.
I agree with you Jane, Good For You was my favorite as well. I have been anxiously awaiting this release and the fact that you’re having a giveaway for it makes me super duper happy. Like belieber levels of excited, so obviously I am entering myself for the prize and I am crossing every digit on my body in hopes that I win.
So, so, so relieved to hear that Webber didn’t screw it all up. The blurb made me go “hmmm…”.
Easy by Tamara Webber!
I’ve been in love with that genre since the 90s (I was a young teen then), only at the time all I could find were films (Reality Bites, Before Sunrise, Singles)… So glad to see the genre finally picked up in books!
Just finished Easy. Loved it!
Easy! Love Lucas
My favorite New Adult book so far is The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden!
I loved easy so im sure id love these books
Good For You was by far my favorite of the series as well. I did truly enjoy Easy. I can’t wait for Here Without You to be released.
My favorite is Easy. I haven’t read many New Adult books, but that one definitely stands out.
My recent favorite is Frigid by J Lynn! I devoured that book! :)
Definitely loved Easy!
I haven’t started this series yet but I absolutely LOVED Easy. So there’s no doubt in my mind these books will be just as good.
I’ve only read easy by Tammara Webber and I loved it currently my favorite new adult books is the hopeless by Colleen Hoover
Love this series!
I’ve yet to delve deep into the NA genre, but I really enjoyed Lynn Rush’s novels and have been eyeing Tamara Webber’s for a while. Definitely need to read this series
I love all of her books. Her style of writing is refreshing and real, and when she does multiple views you can always tell WHO it is without even looking at the name. In “Where You Are”, it could have been so easy to lose the reader with 4 different views, but because they all SOUNDED different, I never had a problem or a doubt. I absolutely adore the character of Graham, so “Where You Are” is one of my favorites, and I didn’t think she could put Reid up there to where I would adore him as well. “Good For You” proved me wrong, and I can’t wait to read the next one!
Love the first 3, can’t wait to read the new one!
Easy was my favorite :-)
I loved Easy and it’s easily in my Top 3 favorite NA books.:) And I also love The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski.:)
That’s like asking me to name my favorite child. They are all my favorite. Current favorites would be Emerge, Beautiful Broken Rules, & Life Altering Beautiful.
My favorite new adult book is Slammed, and Point of Retreat. Though I did really love the between the lines series, so far and Easy. My new favorite might just be the between the line series after it is finished !! I don’t like to call something my favorite until the series is complete.
Easy is the best of all! It is inspiring and it really is one of the books which capture the reality very easily between its lines.
Easy!!
Good For You is my favorite NEw Adult book so far. I read these in order and was so impressed how Webber could take a character I absolutely hated in book one and make me fall in live with the same character in book three.
Easy is probably my fav, I’ve read it 4 times and I almost NEVER reread books! Can’t wait for book 4 to come out!
I loved Easy, so naturally I will love this series. My current fave NA book would have to be Lick by Kylie Scott
Right now Easy is my favorite novel! I have read it over and over again!
Love this series!!
I loved Easy by Tammara Webber and Vain by Fisher Amelie.
Thanks for the contest.
My favorite new adult book is Slammed and beautiful disaster :)
My favorite NA book is Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
I love the series! And I love Easy too! Glad you finally read it ;)
I’d love the chance to read this series! I also would love to read Easy.
My favorite adult series is Between the Lines followed by Easy. Tammara webber is amazing
I have not had a chance to read this series but it looks great! I cannot wait to read it. Thanks for the give away
I’m so excited to see what happens next, well read it. I first read the books as they were released and they have stayed with me, not many books stay with me enough to remember what happened in the books months (or years in this case) after their release. Too me, that’s the trait of a fantastic author, having something in their novels stick out so much that you want to keep going back, reliving the book(s), or just talking about them to friends and family. Tammara has a great way of making your feel like you are part of the journey with Reid and his friends. You quickly become invested in the characters and Tammara’s writing style. This is one series I would recommend to everybody.
Haven’t read this series yet. So who knows Tammara might be my new fave!
My two all time favorites are Easy and Beautiful Disaster!
I have so many it’s seriously hard to choose! My favorite right now is Fading by E.K. Blair!
Such astute observations. My favorite New Adult book would be Rachel Van Dyken’s books. I can’t think of my favorite favorite. They’re all good. :)
Thank you for posting this and for hosting the giveaway. :)
I love these books. And I love Tammara! I have a signed copy of Easy so it would be awesome to add these to the shelf. : )
Gosh I’m a fan of anything Tammara Webber!!! I read Easy a few moths ago and fell in love with the story. However, Lucas was not the only thing that captivated me… It was tammaras writing! I knew from that point whatever she writes… I will most def read! Huge fan!
I would have to say Wait For You by J. Lynn, by far the best NA book I have read so far!
My favorite is Beautiful Disaster but I have a long list that I want to check out.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Love your writing. Easy was beautiful. Wanting to read these. Pick me pick me!!
My favourite, that’s kind of difficult, I loved most of Jennifer Armentrout’s books, “Wait for me” is one of my favourite. Then “What the heart wants” was also a fantastic book, I didn’t like its sequel at all and it kind of ruined it…”Breathe” by Abbi Glines, the re vamped version is a to die for book and “Easy” was really REALLY good as well.
I have really been wanting to read these books. I LOVED Easy so I’m really interested in checking these out.
My fav new adult book would have to be Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I just can’t say enough good things about it.
Right now it’s Beautiful Disaster :)
EASY is my favorite NA genre book. :)
My favorite NA book is definitely Good for You! I’m really excited about Here Without You coming out :)
I can’t wait to read Here without You
I have not found a series of New Adult books that have captured my interest quite like Tammara Webber’s BTL series has, so those books are some of my favorites. However, I think one other series beats out BTL for my favorite spot, and that is the Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines. Both series have interweaving characters which I love and find very creative, and both are about interesting characters.
My favorite book is…. I can’t say because there are so many of them that i have grown to love.
My favorite NA series of all time (even though it’s hard to choose) would have to be the Too Far series by Abbi Glines
If You Stay by Courtney Cole and The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen.
Ready to read all of them together!!!
If we’re defining NA as just anything centered on that particular age range, not necessarily romance, I think my two favorites are “Code Name Verity” by Elizabeth Wein (definitely not a romance, but so good!) and “The Piper’s Son” by Melina Marchetta.
While Lucas Maxfield is my number 1 book boyfriend, Reid Alexander is number 2 and Good For You is my favorite book. I get so excited when others like it also. It’s my go to book, it helps cure a hangover, picks me up when I’m having a bad day, and when I’ve read I not so great book, I always turn to Reid, Dori, and Tammara’s fantastic writing.
Hard Rock Arrangement (The Lonely Kings) by Ava Lore
I loved Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover!!!
Easy was the first NA book I read and loved! Most definitely my favorite.
Can’t wait to read!!
@Rosario: Lol, exactly!
I agree with Jane, Good For You is my absolute favorite for the same reasons. I just love the characters so much!
I read Easy based on your rec and would love to read more!
Where She Went by Gayle Forman has traditionally been categorized as YA, but I say it’s NA because its protagonists are college-aged.
Good For You is one of my favorites too. I didn’t like Reid before this book but the key is, he transforms himself. Dori shows him the way but its his choices and his decisions that lead to him growing up and taking responsibility. Their romance is so poignant and sweet but so sexy, I too was hoping they would last and this 4th book wouldn’t ruin their HEA.
I read Easy before the Between the Lines series because I felt the same way – that I wasn’t into the Hollywood scene – but once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely love Reid and Dori together and can’t wait for the final book! The Thoughtless series by S.C. Stephens is another current favorite I’ve been recommending. There are too many good books out there to pick a favorite.
I really enjoyed easy, but I haven’t read any of her other books! Thanks for the contest!
My favorite YA books are: ‘Anna and the French Kiss’ by Stephanie Perkins and ‘Easy’ by Tammara Webber. I would love to read the ‘Between the Lines’ series. :)
As a writer, Tammara Webber, Colleen Hoover, and Abbi Glines are all heroes of mine. I would say any of their books ranks in my top five fave New Adult books.
My new fav adult book would be Collide and Pulse by Gail McHugh. They were great books. Second would be the Spiral of Bliss books.
I could never pick just one favorite book. They all have a place in my heart :) I loved the Between the Lines series and was so excited to hear there would be a forth book!
I’ve only read one new adult book, True by Erin McCarthy, which I liked. Next on my New Adult reads is Rush Me by Allison Parr. None of the reviews I read were complimentary, but they all said they didn’t like the heroine, that she was too judgmental. As someone who has never read a judgmental heroine and loves the idea, I bought it. Thanks for the reminder that I need to read it – maybe that’ll be my next book!
Awesome giveaway!
I loved, loved, loved Easy as well. I am also a fan of Abbi Glines and Cora Carmack.
Congrats!
I really like Walking Disaster and Beautiful disaster!
My fav book is Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. My fav book by Tamara Webber is also Good for You as well. I completely agree!
love love giveaways & love tammara’s books
awesome!
I am going to have to pick up Good For You now! I loved Easy so looking forward to this one now! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings!! I really loved Slammed by Colleen Hoover!
Exciting! Tammara is one of all time favorite authors! Easy is definitely the best NA.
My favorite NA title is Easy, but Good for You is a close second. The Between the Lines series straddles the line between YA and NA, IMO, but Easy is the reason I keep trying NA titles, over and over and over, even though I loathe most of the ones I’ve read over the last year.
I’ve just recently started to read New Adult and mostly paranormal. I loved Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring. I have to play catch up with all of the NA Contemporary Romance.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love a different blue by Amy Harmon….or the lonely by Tara brown!
I have to say Easy… It was amazing and one of the first NA books that I found and the quality of the story keeps me going back to the genre hoping to find something just as good!
Thanks for the giveaway!
xo
jaime
I have read and loved all of Tammara’s books and am excited to dive into her new one. Easy and Slammed by Colleen Hoover are 2 of my Favorites.
My favorite New Adult of 2013 so far is The Picturing Perfect Series – book 2 Subject to Change by Alessandra Thomas :o)
I haven’t read any NA titles yet, but this sounds interesting.
Oh gosh….how can I pick just one???
I guess I’d have to pick the Slammed series as my favorite NA!
That would be Frigid by J. Lynn, Losing It by Cora Carmack, and On Dublin Street by Samantha Young, just to name a few!
I really liked Who He Is by Shanora Williams. :)
I would love to have the complete set of this series. Love Tammara Webber!!
Easy was my fav new adult book, I’ve finished it in just one day and re-readed it two times after, characters and the plot are amazing, I love it!
Beautiful Broken Rules is currently my favorite New Adult book.
My Favorite New Adult novel is The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden
I recently read Pulse from Gail McHugh and loved it. I am always looking for new books to read though.
Collide and Pulse you Gail McHugh and Easy by Tamara Weber
There have been a lot of great New Adult books out there, but I have to go with Easy (also by Tammara Webber).
Tammara Weber…my spell check apparently thinks she should spell her name like mine lol
Losing It.
Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover
Tammara Weber is an absolute sweetheart! I saw her books on Amazon.com and emailed asking if they were available in Canada. A few months later she sent me an email letting me know they were available at Kobo and we had a few emails go back and forth. I am so glad to see more people reading her!
My favorite NA book is The Sea of Tranquility.
Currently, my favorite NA novel is On Dublin Street by Samantha Young :)
Thank you for the giveaway!
Real – Katy Evans :)
Thanks for the giveaway! :)
Travis Nicole Edwards
Awesome giveaway! My favorite NA book is Beautiful Disaster.
EASY I loved it!!! This is my favorite book.
No Attachments by Tiffany King
I’ve got to go with Easy too – it held up even through a couple of rereads!
Right now it’s Bully by Penelope Douglas
I love Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.
Beautiful Disaster was my first New Adult book, and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
Easy by Tammara Webber
The Edge Of Never J. Redmerski
Unbreakable by Rebecca Shea
As much as I loved EASY, GOOD FOR YOU was my favourite book too ~ I also really love Colleen Hoover’s NA books and they often battle for my favourite xD
Thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway <3 !
I have a hard time deciding between Easy and Good For You as my favorite Tammara Webber book. They are both so amazing and different that it’s hard to choose, but they are the ones that I have re-read the most on my nook.
The Edge Of Never J. Redmerski
Faking it by Cora Carmack :) Thanks for the giveaway!
I really enjoyed Good for You, but I haven’t read the others in the series yet.
Easy is my favorite.
Easy was my favorite book..
Without a doubt, EASY is my most favorite NA book. I’ve purchased at least six copies to give to girls graduating high school, telling them that they must read it before college. Not only is the writing superb, but I believe this novel changes peoples’ lives!
Enjoyed the first three books, can’t wait to read this one!
I really enjoyed Easy. Right now my favorite new adult book has been Sea of Tranquility.
Well, it’s hard to pick a favorite NA book/series but I’m pretty hooked on Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, and Jessica Sorenson. Also, I absolutely loved Easy and have the Between the Lines series on my TBR. This would be a great thing to have.
I’ve read Easy by Tammara Webber and have been meaning to read Between the lines as well. I can’t wait to read this!
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and Easy by Tammara Webber
I can’t wait to read this book
It’s a tie between Easy by Tammara Webber and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. The Secret Of Ella & Micha by Jessica Sorensen is also amazing. :)
Loved, loved, LOVED Easy! Such a beautifully written story. I also liked both Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disasater. I recently read Now or Never and it was pretty good as well.
I have WAY too many favorite NA books! I think my favorite that I’ve read (lately) is Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover :) She writes the male POV sooooo amazingly well!
I hate to admit it, but I don’t think I have rad any YA books yet. But I have definately heard great things about Ms. Webber.
I think my all time favorite is the Thoughtless series by S.C Stephens but I really loved Easy and there are so many great books in this Genre thanks for the awesome giveaway:)
I’m not familiar with this series but I’m putting it on my TBR list right away!
Not sure if this is YA or NA but wonderful book, either way: Holier Than Thou by Laura Buzo.
I haven’t read much new adult (where to begin??) but I absolutely love Easy! I had no idea Tamarra Weber had more books out and now I am so excited to read them.
Easy is the standard by which I judge all other NA books. I’ve read others that are good, but Easy is still my favorite. I haven’t read Tammara’s others though, because the protagonists all sounded a bit younger than the ones in easy, more like YA rather than NA.
Easy and The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden are to of my favorite NA books I’ve read recently.
my fave is Easy and Good for you amongst all the Tammara Webber books. :) can’t wait to read the last book of between the lines series:)
Easy is such a wonderful read, it made me an instant fan – I now own it in paper and kindle – and I’m looking forward to reading this series too!
Would have to be Easy. Its one of my all time favs. From a different author it would have to be Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire :)
VAIN by Fisher Amelie. Love it! So underrated.
GREENSLEEVES by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. I have been thinking about this book lately and that now it would fit in this category quite nicely.
I think my favorite new adult book that I’ve read so far has been either Easy or Slammed.
I haven’t read any of the new adult books yet. I would love to read this series. It sounds really good.
I love Tammara Webber, she is one of my fave authors! I cannot wait for her next book in this series!
I’ve purchased several NA books over the past few months, including Easy and The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden, but I’ve yet to read them. I’ve been trying to catch up on a few series in my huge TBR list – like Meljean Brook’s Guardian series. My aim is to knock out some of those NA books during my upcoming vacation.
Real by Katy Evans
My favorite new adult book is Easy by Tamara Webber.
I still have Beautiful Disaster on loan from a coworker that I need to read….
Easy by Tammara Webber hands down! And that’s my answer to anyone who asks!
Does On Dublin Street count as NA? :) If so, that one. Otherwise, I need to think about it.
My absolute favorite NA is Hopeless by Colleen Hoover followed closely by Webber’s Easy.
I’m still new to the New Adult genre, but Ms. Webber’s books are definitely among my favorites. If readers of the comments are looking for New Adult books with a paranormal ring, I’d like to also mention my recently published The Last Dance of Caitlyn Murphy as well.
I enjoyed this series, I read it after Easy and reading Slammed and. Point of retreat by colleen Hoover, I’m enjoying the NA category, favourites without doubt are Hopeless/Losing Hope and the newest release of Jessica Parks ‘Left Drowning”
In this series I loved the last book the most also as other commenters have mentioned, loved it how Tamarra could take my hate for a character and turn it TOTALLY around,.. Very surprising..
Can’t wait for Here Without You! Beyond excited but at the same time don’t want it to end.
Easy by Tammara Webber
My favourite NA – Where She Went by Gayle Forman :)
Really hope I win. Easy was an amazing book and I’ve been meaning to read something else by her for a while. Thanks for the giveaway! :)
I haven’t read that much NA/YA but I’ve read lots of praise for this author’s work. Nice giveaway.
Can. Not. Wait. For Here Without You! Love Tammara’s books!
I just read DARE YOU TO, and Something Like Normal, and now I am feeling pretty desperate to get my hands on some of Tammara Webber’s goodies after reading this post.
I have not read a lot in the NA genre but I did pick up Easy after all the incredible reviews. I was very impressed — it was a great story. I’d love to read Webber’s other books. Thanks!
my favourite would have to be something by abbi glines love all her books
I love NA in general; most recently my favorites have been Fallen by EK Blair and the Coincidence of Callie and Kaden.
I want to read Here Without You so bad but I’m so scared. I suppose I should take Jane’s words (“Was she going to screw with Dori and Reid in a way that I couldn’t deal with? Fortunately, no.”) as some sort of reassurance. Right, Jane? Right?!
@Loosheesh – I will report back on the 6th with a review. 8 am. Count on it.
@Jane: Thanks, Jane! Now, if I can just find my patience-cap, I’ll be all set …
I just read Foreplay, the new NA from Sophia Jordan last night in one big swoop and it was awesome. Out in October.
My favorite changes every day!
Currently I think it is Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
I very much enjoyed Easy. Can’t wait to read Here Without You.
I’m only just getting acquainted with the New Adult genre. And I’m not sure I’ve been able to necessarily place some of the books I’ve been reading into that category. To a certain extent, I categorize books as romance (some more steamy than others, but from sweet to sexy), mystery/suspense, romantic mystery/suspense – and now I’m adding fantasy.
I will be looking at the Between the Lines series by Tammara Webber.
Well, I loved Easy, of course! And Chelsea M. Cameron’s “My Favorite Mistake” and “Deeper We Fall”…. Hm, Nazarea Andrew’s “This Love” was really good, too. I’ve only recently started into the NA genre, but it’s a genre I’ll be reading for years to come! :)
Enjoy,
TBQ
I adored Easy… I’ll have to check out her other books
i really like easy by tammara webber
haven’t read her yet so very interested!!
Actually my favorite NA book is Good For You. I just love how Reid and Dori complement each other!
I really loved Easy by Tammara Webber! Easily one of my faves.
So difficult to choose only one young adult book. My picks would be Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles and North of Beautiful by Justina Chen, and the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr is following them closely. Looking forward to read Tammara Webber, her books look awesome!
fallen too far by Abbi Glines
Easy is in my TBR pile and I’d love to have a crack at the series. Thanks for this!
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire is my favorite!
Haven’t read many in this genre but loved Easy by Tammara Webber and Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.
I have read all of Tammara’s books and absolutely love them, can’t wait to read anything that Tammara writes, because you know you will love it x
My favorite New Adult book is Easy. Close behind that are Flat Out Love, Slammed, and the Between The Lines series.
Actually, only Tammara Webber’s incredible development of layered characters and good writing could get me to love books that contain some of the very things that normally annoy me in other books, such as love triangles/squares. She is also one of the only authors to make me fall in love with the “bad” boy because she made me believe in why he was the way he was and why he chose to be something more. I loved that it wasn’t simply a girl saving him but a choice he makes with a long process to get there full of steps backwards alongside the steps forward. I didn’t care for Reid at first but by the end of book three I was sold.
I can’t wait to get book 4 in my hands!!
I’ve never read one that I liked!
I completely agree with you! I haven’t picked “Easy” up yet, but I feel like when I do I will fall in love with it. The thing I agree with you about though is that I think “Good For You” or hopefully, “Here Without You” will always be my favorite Tammara Webber and along with that, my favorite new adult book. I’d never fallen in love with a contemporary romance before “Good For You” and I haven’t had the same feelings for a book of this genre afterwards either. I love the idea of two people falling in love slowly and completely. These days authors of Romance books with young adults and new adults tend to rush into love, but Tammara Webber took her creative time with Reid and Dori’s story, but you don’t get bored and you don’t feel like she dragged out the story. You’re trapped in their love story. I would LOVE to win this contest and have all the books on my shelf.
Love Tammara Webber! And agree with you…Good For You is my favorite. I never thought I could fall in love with Reid, but she made me! Can’t wait to read Here Without You!
GFY is the gold standard by which I judge other NA/YA books. 8/6 can’t get here soon enough. Already preordered!
Easy is my favorite NA book, but I haven’t had the chance to read Tammara Webber’s other books. Thanks for the giveaways!
Katie McGarry’s series so far. I haven’t read a lot though. The latest was Charade by Nyrae Dawn, which I also liked–though I couldn’t stand the heroine at first, thankfully she changed.
Thanks for the giveaway!
So happy to read a fellow Good For You fan. I’ve always said that Easy made Tammara Webber into this phenomenon and got her the publishing deal but Good For You remains my favorite work of hers. And I did read it first too and worked my way backwards. These two characters are ingrained in my heart and mind.
