Harper Collins Profits Are Up
With everyone else posting positive years, Harper Collins had 2 glum quarters. In the third quarter of fiscal 2007, however, profits are up at Harper Collins by a whopping 11%. Overall profits in the first nine months of the fiscal year were down by 20%.
The 3d quarter rise could be attributed in part by strong sales of Sydney Poitier’s The Measure of a Man which was an Oprah pick. Harper hopes to end on a high note in quarter four with George Tenet’s release, At the Center of the Storm, and other political books.
