I love Tawna Fenske’s writing, this whole “For Hire” series is great and fits the bill if you are looking for a sexy romantic comedy.
Someone needs to write a GI bride romance!

I remember the drama Homefront that ran on ABC for a couple seasons in the early 90s. It featured two characters who were war brides (one from Britain and one from Italy). Although the British war bride turned out to be a scheming bad girl, one couldn’t help but sympathize when she mailed a $5 bill that she squeezed from her working-class grocery budget to her mother, who was living under even greater postwar hardships.
Got Up At Butternut Creek, thanks for posting about it. The top amazon comment for it was 3 stars and said the story was good but the ending ruined it because there was explicit sex. So, that certainly was a helpful comment, lol.
