@Tae: I think this is either something interesting to a reader or not. There's no middle ground "gee, maybe once I get started with it." The only other Sheridan book I've read was a yaoi/vampire one that Jane and I did a duo review of a few years ago.

And this is exactly why I persevered with the story. I also checked the LS website and looked for books linked to this one but didn't immediately spot one.

I tried reading a Barbara Sheridan book a few weeks ago. I can tell her writing is fine, but I just couldn’t get into the story and was bored, so I quit reading.
This book doesn’t sound appealing to me at all either.

I checked out Sheridan’s site and it mentions that Falling Through Glass is loosely tied to another series of hers. Unfortunately there’s no way of dividing the books by series on her personal site and Liquid Silver doesn’t seem to link to the related books on their site either (perhaps they were from a different publisher?). Either way, I didn’t look too deeply.

Still from your review it sounds like it’s worth a read. I’m interested in reading books set somewhere other than modern American city or a Regency London ballroom. I enjoy those books of course, but I’d like to see more variety and am happy to support it. Thanks for the review!
