I really enjoyed this collaboration, too, but I agree with you on the foreign words. I speak three languages fluently, but I never do this, and neither does anyone else I know. I think I might have been able to tolerate a few, but there was way more than necessary and it took away from the flow. I kept getting jerked out of the story and wondering whose brilliant idea it was to add all those annoying foreign words. I just hope that’s not the case in the second book, and other than this teeny tiny issue, I was over the moon with Mexican Heat.

I loved this book. My only complaint was the Spanish was used incorrectly. I found myself correcting it as I was reading it, which interrupted my reading flow a bit. I can’t wait for the next installment. Great review!
