@WandaSue I thought the setting was one of the better parts of the book. I really felt transported during the story with the water, the sand, the ocean view, the culture.

I’m no fan of romantic suspense — usually the “romance” or the “suspense” is sacrificed, and in the end the whole book suffers. Just my opinion.

But this one I might try, ONLY to see if she got the La Jolla and Torrey Pines setting right! As a San Diegan, nothing irks me more than an author who uses my city as a backdrop for her story … then makes a mess of things by getting everything wrong. BIG ISSUE FOR ME: set your books in cities you know blindfolded. Otherwise, forget it!

ETA: Just read Jill Sorenson’s bio … and YAY!! She’s a San Diegan!! OK, girl! Your book is on my list of what-to-buy-next!
