Write Well, Be an Advocate (and a British Citizen) and You Too Could Be Knighted

Terry Pratchett, author of many Discworld books, was knighted for his literary achievements as well as his fierce advocacy against Alzheimer's Disease.  Pratchett suffers from Alzheimer's himself and has donated large sums of money to researching the disease.  Congratulations Sir Pratchett.

  1. Congratulations Sir Pratchett.

    Ahem. Congratulations Sir Terry.

But apart from that, yes indeed. Terry Pratchett is one of the good guys, and what’s happening to him is a true tragedy. I’m glad they didn’t wait until he was nearly dead before recognising his contribution to global happiness.

I love Sir Terry, I really do. I can’t say enough good things about him, as an author and as a person.

  3. “Write well” is the least of what he’s done. His books are amazing, with their humor and wisdom and wonderful characters. He’s amazing.
I hope his advocacy makes real inroads, for him and everyone suffering from Alzheimer’s.
