  • No one wants to hear from Bush right now, including publishers.  "If I were advising President Bush, given how the public feels about him right now, I think patience would probably be something that I would encourage," says Paul Bogaards, executive director of publicity for Alfred A. Knopf, which in 2004 released Bill Clinton's million-selling "My Life."  Via Huff Post
  • Everyone wants to hear from Palin (I assume this will be ghostwritten).  "There are several of our imprints who are eager to talk to Governor Palin," Random House spokesman Stuart Applebaum said. "She clearly has a constituency and we know books by conservatively-centered politicos usually sell very, very well.  Via Page Six .
  • Obama's two memoirs are selling like hotcakes (probably good gifts) but he won't have a lot of time to write in the foreseeable future, will he?

That’s why I wondered why on earth Oliver Stone thought his latest movie was a good idea. It’s too soon. Hopefully, it will be too soon until long after I’m dead. But then Nixon became an elder statesman, however improbable that was, so even Shrub might be rehabilitated. Nixon had a brain though.

(I assume this will be ghostwritten)

Oooh, burn! Will she be overheard as Naomi Campbell was at the release of ‘her’ novel ‘Swan’, asking people what it’s about, I wonder?
