Publishers Weekly has published its Best Of 2008 list and the mass market list included Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas. Her’s was the only one on the list that I read. Congrats everyone.
No One Heard Her Scream by Jordan Dane (Avon)
The Face by Angela Hunt (Mira)
Deadly Deceptions by Linda Lael Miller (HQN)
Heart of the Wolf by Terry Spear (Sourcebooks/Casablanca)
Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas (Bantam)

What are the PW’s requirements in deciding what books are the best of the year?
I think it’s an editorial decision.
Does it matter to them that some books have yet to come out? *sobs for Dec release*
My guess is that they’ve read their December ARCs. Poor Carrie.
NO arcs for ZebDu releases. *more sobbing*
S’ok. I’ll live. Not much can make me unhappy after last night.
@Carrie Lofty - oh noes! That does suck. Maybe once all these reviewers get e-readers you can submit a book via email. It seems that all the publisher houses gave their staff ereaders in the last year.
I read Deadly Deceptions and liked it, but it was by no means one of the best books this year.
Nicole - Like the Oscars and the Ritas, this list is subjective.
ETA: If I was making up the list, I’d add in SEP and Tami Hoag and a whole whack of people would figuratively look at me askance.
