Michael Crichton Dies

Michael Crichton has been battling cancer and died yesterday at the age of 66.  I've read almost all of Crichton's work.  The Great Train Robbery was my favorite.  I loved his fictional "introductions" or "acknowledgments" which enhanced the believability of his stories.  He was a great storyteller.  RIP Crichton.

  1. I loved a lot of Crichton’s work, especially Jurassic Park and Eaters of the Dead. I wasn’t a big fan of his later work and unfortunately got more soured by his response to Michael Crowley’s criticism (creating a barely endowed child rapist by the name of Mick Crowley in one of his books), but for all that, he was still a wonderful adventure novelist, IMO, creating the kind of visceral suspense I wish we saw more of in today’s fiction.
