If you’re looking for R-rated beach-read escapism, you could try Captain Devlin’s Captive in paperback on Amazon. It’s a pirate historical romance set in 1692 Bermuda. Or just watch the book trailer on the page - it’s pretty cool, though I say it who shouldn’t. (Yes, the book’s mine - shameless pimping of work alert! I’m terribly sorry.)

(Oh, and you’re only supporting the author when you buy it - for those who might be worried about supporting a certain publishing house which shall not be named.)

The same goes for my Scottish Halloween/Samhain paranormal romance Vampire Close (also on Amazon).

Okay, I’ll shut up now.

Jane - I loved The Outback Stars. It was very different, but very good. I look forward to hearing what you think.

Hmmm…KETURAH AND LORD DEATH sounds very interesting.

Edited to add: I just looked up KETURAH AND LORD DEATH on Amazon and it does sound really good. My library doesn’t have it so I may have to be bold and buy it (my empty pockets are screaming at me now :)

*SIGH* While I love discovering new books it doesn’t help my TBR pile. Which reminds me, I MUST place my Amazon and GoodBooksNZ book orders - the pieces of paper with the books I want to order are breeding…

Part of my problem is that many of the books I have on my Amazon wishlist aren’t available in ebook so I can’t get them on Fictionwise. Right now I have The Chosen Sin by Anya Bast and the October Harlequin Presents bundle in my cart but I’d happily add more. Why oh why isn’t Hunger Games in ebook format?
