One of my favorite bloggers, Bookseller Chick, is back to semi-regular blogging. Today she's put up a
great comparison post of the three leading social networks for book readers:
Goodreads,
Library Thing, and
Shelfari. I don't use any of them, but I know alot of readers do.

Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. She's currently loving contemporary authors like Sarah Mayberry and Kristan Higgins but her first love will always be the historical. Some of her old time favorites are Amanda Quick and Johanna Lindsey and some of the new favorites are Sherry Thomas, Joanna Bourne and Claudia Dain.

http://kristiej.blogspot.com/2008/09/book-cataloguing-analysis-of-online.html KristieJ also did a really fantastic comparison of them, from a usage standpoint, a few weeks back. I had tried out LibraryThing and then decided to give GoodReads a shot, and I found her comparison spot on.
I’m still boycotting Shelfari for all the spam I got, so I haven’t tried them.
Thanks for the hat tip, Jane.
And thanks for the heads up about Kristie’s comparison, Angela, I’ve added a link to it at the bottom of the post.
