Jayne brought this link to my attention. The International Children’s Digital Library is an online library that collects, scans and makes digitally available, children’s books from around the world.
The ICDL Foundation’s goal is to build a collection of books that represents outstanding historical and contemporary books from throughout the world.
There are stories in Mongolian, Farsi, German, Portuguese and so forth. What a wonderful way to use technology to preserve customs and bring people closer together.

Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. She's currently loving contemporary authors like Sarah Mayberry and Kristan Higgins but her first love will always be the historical. Some of her old time favorites are Amanda Quick and Johanna Lindsey and some of the new favorites are Sherry Thomas, Joanna Bourne and Claudia Dain.
