DearAuthor at RWA National 2008
By Jane • Jul 7th, 2008 • Category: Misc, RWA • •I’ll be blogging from RWA Nationals in San Francisco at the end of the month along with about 10 other bloggers. I’ve set up a special page here at Dear Author that will contain both substantive posts (hopefully with lots of pictures) and my tweets (the one liners that give you kind of a blow by blow experience). If Wordpress comes up with an iPhone blogging platform, I might not tweet at all but just post directly to the site so the tweet portion of the site may be eliminated.
I put everything on a separate page so that those who don’t really care about RWA can ignore it and those that want to know all about can access the posts regularly.
Another new feature for this year’s RWA Nationals is a blog that we set up for all the bloggers called blognationals.com. BlogNationals is a one stop reading place of sorts that will host all of the RWA related blog posts by the affiliate bloggers. Those are identified in the sidebar of the blognationals.com site.
- Aimless Ramblings about Living Life
- Dear Author
- Dionne Galace
- for peaceful days and dreamy nights
- Jill Myles
- Nobody asked me…
- Nose in a book
- Ramblings on Romance Etcetera, Etcetera
- Smart Bitches, Trashy Books
- sula’s space
- Wendy_Superlibrarian
The information on blognationals is collected from all the different sites so you’ll still see the RWA related blog posts here at DearAuthor or at Smart Bitches or any other site, but if you want to see them all together in one place, you can visit BlogNationals.com. Sarah created our banner and all of the bloggers are contributing the content.
Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways.
She's looking for a good contemporary author. Email her with a recommendation!

Thanks so much for doing this. I really look forward to reading all the blog posts about National.
And I look forward to being blogged about! lol. Seriously, thanks for setting this up. I’m looking forward to getting all the news myself — and I’ll be there!
Hey good to see some non-techies on twitter. I will be following you there.
I was wondering when twitter would break out & be more main stream. I am there because of the edu-techies.
I look forward to your wonderful posts again this year.
I am running Blogging National for the third year and will be linking again to your posts and your new Blog Nationals aggregator (great idea and great bunch of bloggers!).
