I really, really enjoyed the Brooks book (title aside, sigh). What’s funny about Brooks, too, is that although I usually prefer a hotter read, I don’t even miss the love scenes. There’s almost always tension, and the emotional resolution is satisfying — so even though the bedroom door is closed (or cracked open only enough to allow a peek), nothing seems left out.

I’ll have to check out the Shalvis — I’ve enjoyed almost all of her other titles.
