Gasp! 60 times!

It's overkill me thinks, and symptomatic of writing -- and editing -- to a deadline. If there's no other word to describe the action and that action has already been described, do you need to describe it again?

I agree with Emma. We all have our favorite words. Mine is "gazed". There are only so many ways one can portray that action.

the werewolves using the word MINE like the seagulls in the Nemo movie. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. and on for 29 times.

Snark! Pure and wonderfully executed snark!

Sarah's on my autobuy list and this is one of the books I'll be reading once I get my word count done. :D I love Sarah's heroes and can't wait to read this one. :D

Speaking of repetition, the collection also featured over 60 usages of the word “gasp”.

As an author I know just how incredible difficult it is to not use a word repetitively but sometimes there just isn't another word that will work.

She did have medications although I don't recall the mention of "multiple" ones. No dialysis. And yes, her first one failed and she had to have another. I don't know whether the way in which she was saved made medical sense.

Her body was rejecting the second liver. When she was bitten by her wolf mate, the antibodies I guess helped her body not reject the second liver. Does that make sense? I just accepted it at the end of the book.

One of the biggest problems I had with Robin’s story is that she suffered some longterm kidney disease that led to her having two kidney transplants. The second kidney is failing yet Robin has enough energy to be beaten by some guy, recover within a day or so, head out into the winter, sleep in a cave, be dragged around the wild, return to her home, have vigorous and multiple acts of sex? It was such a big suspension of disbelief for me that I was constantly asking whether she would physically be able to do any of her activities.

So...any mention of the many and multiple medications she'd be on? Or dialysis? By two kidney transplants, I assume the first failed and she had to have another?
