Right to Write is an organization which helped to defend Roger Rapoport, one of the Defendants in the suit brought by JK Rowling to prevent the publication of the Harry Potter Lexicon
Via Publishers Weekly.  Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways.
She's looking for a good contemporary author. Email her with a recommendation!

He has every right to write. But that means writing - not acting as a human xerox machine.
Frankly they, and everyone else who supports fair use, should be hailing this decision. Can you imagine the backlash from publishers against fair use, fanfiction and fansites if he’s have won this case? They have enough money and power and lobbying strength to make life very very difficult
I wonder if they would be willing to defend Cassie Edwards would CE ever be sued for plagiarising/copywrite infringement.
I am afraid I was also on JK’s side on this one. She was clear about intending to do her own reference work and most of the material in ‘their’ book was written by her. Hardly fair use.
