I enjoyed the battle of the e-readers, too. Thanks to you, I’m a convert.

I love the approach you take to romance – holistic and measured. That you have reviewers with a wide range of preferences is also advantageous. I visit every day!

Small note of dissent: would love it if your polls had a ‘neither’/ ‘none of the above’ option…

I really enjoy this site, particularly the professional presentation and the lively discussions, even though mostly I keep forgetting to check back and talk more frequently when things interest me.

And as a newbie reviewer on a different group blog, I have to agree with the thing about blurbs. *LOL* I think half the time when I tell Sybil I’ll read something it’s because I read something in the blurb and wonder, “How the hell can point Z possibly relate to point Q?” And then I wonder why I don’t love more of what I read. :P

Oh and lastly, I love the ebook talk. I really am fascinated by where the ebook market is headed and I love that it gets discussed here.

I started off as a sporadic visitor and now this site is my first ‘check-in’ every day. You do a remarkable job of regularly posting fresh, interesting content. I don’t know how you do it – I’m in awe. I love the reviews. They’re professional and even-handed and I’d say I tend to agree with 50%plus of them, so you’re ‘my’ kind of readers.

Oh and can I say I loved your copyright posts last year.

BUT you are more likely to have someone read it if a) you send the book, b) you send a link to an excerpt and c) you send a good blurb.

Well, I am going to emphasize point B. We almost never get links to excerpts, and excerpts are how I determine if I want to read a book. Sometimes when a blurb intrigues me, I will go hunt around on the web for an excerpt, but we get so many review requests that I just don’t have the time to do this for every single one.

I cannot emphasize point C enough. There are times when I just sit there and boggle at the book blurbs Jane forwards to us when we’re selecting books for review.
