I just re-read an older Claudia Dain book to make sure I wanted to keep it on my keeper shelf. (TO BURN. And yes, it went back into the keepers.) I've been thinking about it, and I don't recall reading a Dain book that disappointed me. She has written in pretty much every historical era--including Roman Britain (TO BURN is set in that time)--and she does a bang-up job with all of them.

So. TWO books to put on my To Buy list. Sigh.
