In my inbox I received an email stating that Fictionwise is working on making eReader compatible with the iPhone. Fictionwise bought eReader a few months agao. This is excellent news for MAC users and PC users alike. I love reading on my iPhone.
eReader is not my favorite mobile reading platform but something is better than nothing.

Now if they would only make it compatible with CyBook, or Sony Reader, or even its own eBookwise…any of the larger readers.
I’m old enough to remember AT&T in all its monopolistic glory, and iPhone’s pairing with that company is enough to ensure I will never own an iPhone.
Well, Miki, you could buy the phone from Apple and never activate it or you could buy the iTouch which is bound to have the same programs made available for it.
True enough. But I’m quite happy with my Dell Axim. Maybe it doesn’t have the iPhone’s flashy user interface, but it does what I need from it.
What I like about the iPhone is that one gadget can take the place of two (or three). I’ve always wished for a more reasonably priced PDA that also served as a phone (IPaq had some awhile back, but they started at $600+).
For those who bought iPhones, I’ll be glad for you when eReader’s available there. And I can be selfishly glad for me, too, because eReader is the only DRM’d format I’ll buy. Any expansion of the market will (with luck) bring better book choices for me.
I’ve been noticing a lack there lately - series I started buying in eReader are suddenly available only as Mobipocket lately.
I am completely addicted to my iPhone and would LOVE to be able to read books on it. (by the way, thank you Dear Author for having a mobile-friendly site. I read your blog on my iPhone all the time.) I call, photo, text, listen to music, surf the internet… I haven’t yet started writing novels on it, as is so popular in Japan, but just wait a few months. ;) Being able to read romance novels on my phone would be heaven.
This is great news! I’ve e-mailed eReader several times in the past since buying my iPhone, but all I ever got back was the cryptic reply “eReader has no plans to offer eReader for the iPhone.” and that was it. I’m glad to read about this, I was considering getting a cheap PDA (gag) so I could carry around my somewhat LARGE library of eBooks on trips.
