So your bracket didn’t work out the way you wanted? We are giving you a second chance.
We have a second chance pool available to you (and newcomers) starting with the winners of the first round and extending to the final round. The details will be up at Dear Author and Smart Bitches tomorrow. You’ll have two days to fill out the brackets before voting starts again on Monday.
Your slate is fresh without a strike or a win. Pick anew. Prizes to be announced but you’ll definitely get the “mad props” and “big ups.”

Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways.

I just filled in the 2nd chance bracket. Is this instead of or in addition to the first bracket?

It’s in addition to. We’ll suspend voting at noon today so that everyone can have time to fill out the second chance bracket. And we’ll make sure that everyone’s bracket has the winners from this am’s matches so that it is all fair.

:) yay! But a weird thing - I can now edit the FIRST pool - http://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/dabwaha/tournamententry.html. I don’t think that worked earlier. That’s not good is it? When I saw the email last night, I went there. I just didn’t submit because I hit back by mistake (doh!), and today I see this post about a completely different pool.

I filled out a bracket for the second chance this morning, but now it’s not showing up. Are they being kept secret until all the picking is finished? I just want to make sure my second bracket has been recorded, even though Demon Angel is losing and I’m already pretty screwed now…
I haven’t loaded any of the second place brackets and won’t until all the voting is closed. The voting for today’s polls will be set as default picks on everyone’s bracket. If there is a pick that you made that is losing or is going to lose, you can certainly change your bracket before midnight Sunday.
For some reason I can’t submit the second bracket, when I try to submit it tells me I need to fill in every square. But I have!!
Take pity, I’ve got flu and am not technically minded.
