Case in point - I bought the first Vampire Queen (Joey Hill) book on Jane's recommendation. I liked it a lot. I completely forgot about the sequel and would never have known that it was in stores until Jane reviewed it. So I immediately went out and bought it. I think it's kind of a 'bringing it to your attention' sort of thing moreso than Good Review/Bad Review. I think this is definitely true.
