Actually, Morton is a sort of celebrity on his own– tabloid journalist turned biographer.

Since my respect for Tom Cruise is rock bottom any more based on his own actions and words nothing Morton could write would affect it.

I’m glad he’s suing. If this author wants to make a name for himself, then he should become a celebrity in his own right instead of trying to earn a few bucks off of someone else’s reputation. I despise people like this and I hope Tom wins.

Oh, man! :-D $100 would have been so much funnier. And it’d be more of an insult, wouldn’t it? Tom Cruise is like, “I was Maverick, dudes! This trash isn’t even worth the price of five copies, so I’ll just ask for $100 in damages. Yawn.”

Maybe it’s just me, though *grin* TomKat is too unreal, anyway — I can’t see her as anything but Joey from Dawson’s Creek.
