Merriam-Webster has declared “w00t!” as the 2007 word of the year. Hopefully next year it will be “FTW” and so on until the entire English language is comprised of intentionally misspelled words and acronyms.

My fourteen-year-old daughter said the exact same thing about the decline of the civilized world when I told her about W00t. Then she said, probably dictionary-type people trying to pretend to be cool.
