Barbara, so far there are only two books in the series and I can’t say that it’s obvious that French even intends to write a third one. No obvious main characters to be in it leap out but then the main character pair in book two weren’t even in this one. You’re right, it does have a fairly Gothic feel to it and this is continued in book two.

Thanks for the great review, Jayne. I don’t read romantic suspense, but this story almost sounds like a contemporary Gothic to me. I read a lot of Gothics when I first started reading romance a hundred years ago. I’m very tempted by this, but just the thought of a series exhausts me. I have a low tolerance for series.
