No obvious main characters to be in it leap out but then the main character pair in book two weren't even in this one. You're right, it does have a fairly Gothic feel to it and this is continued in book two. I don't read romantic suspense, but this story almost sounds like a contemporary Gothic to me. I read a lot of Gothics when I first started reading romance a hundred years ago. I'm very tempted by this, but just the thought of a series exhausts me. I have a low tolerance for series. Thanks for the great review, Jayne.
