2007 Quill Nominees for Fiction, a Little Something for Everyone

The Quill Award Nominees were announced last week at BEA. There are 18 categories with 5 nominees each. The nominees are chosen by the selection committee comprised of Publishers Weekly editors (which begs the question as to why they aren’t simply the PW Awards?). In any event, the September 10th to October 10th, consumers can cast their votes for “The Book of the Year”.

The Romance Nominees are

Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horor

Mystery/Suspense Nominees

Grapic Novel Nominees

Young Adult/Teen Nominees

JaneJane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways. She's looking for a good contemporary author. Email her with a recommendation! Email this author | All posts by Jane

If you’re seen Scott McCloud’s books, it wouldn’t seem strange. And you really, really should.

Is that something a teen boy would like? I am trying to get my nephews to read. . .
