Couponalooza: Borders Has Mysteries and Romances, Buy 3 get 1 Free
By Jane • Mar 8th, 2007 • Category: Misc • •CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST

Through April 2nd, Borders and Waldenbooks are featuring a buy 3, get 1 free for SELECTED romances and mysteries and 30% off one book if you spend $10.00 or more (coupon good from 3/8 - 3/11). This is obviously intended to get you in the store and buy more books than you need but I’m easily lured by the words “Free” and “30% off” so I’m off to the bookstore. The Buy 3 Get 1 Free sales used to be limited to Waldenbooks and it’s nice to see Borders adopt these specials too, but I would guess they would have to given all the Waldenbooks closings all over the country.
Here’s a recommended list of romances for you:

- Without a Sound by Carla Cassidy
- Bad Girl by Michele Jaffe

- Innocent in Death by JD Robb
- Snow Blind by PJ Tracy (and the three other books in the series)
- Triptych by Karin Slaughter
- You Can’t Hide by Karen Rose (tell your bookseller that this book has lots of mystery in it even if it might have some romance too).
Enter your own 4 suggestions and win a copy of Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. US residents only, please. Two random winners will be chosen from the commenters and the contest will run until March 9, at noon.
Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways.
She's looking for a good contemporary author. Email her with a recommendation!

Here is where I foil the good times by clarifying that I was at Borders an hour ago (and yes, this post was totally the reason I went!) and the 4 for 3 deal is good only on a few selected romances that have got stickers on them and are arranged in a special floor display. (JR Ward is among them, but I didn’t see Hunter, Joyce et al there).
On the bright side, the 30% off coupon worked just fine… :)
Emma - I am sorry that I sent you on a Fool’s Errand. The email that was received never said “selected” romances. That sucks.
-Nauti Boy by Lora Leigh
-Alluring Tales: Awaken the Fantasy by Sasha White, Sylvia Day, Lisa Renee Jones, Delilah Devlin, Vivi Anna
-Lush by Sasha White
-Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward
Nah — I thank you for giving me the excuse to walk into the bookstore, and then say, “Well, as long as I’m here…” ;D
