Cover Contest Results Are In

By Jane • Nov 26th, 2006 • Category: Publishing News • •

The romance cover contest results for 2005 are in. Let the discussion begin! The “worst” one is definitely a bad cover.

Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. Jane also does not like to talk about herself in the third person, but apparently this is the way that this biography thing works (although in a true biography, someone else would be writing this blurb). Anyway, currently Jane loves urban fantasy authors Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. She's really excited about this year's crop of historicals including Joanna Bourne's The Spymaster's Lady and Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements and the upcoming Loretta Chase Her Scandalous Ways. She's looking for a good contemporary author. Email her with a recommendation!

  1. Oh, I don’t know….It’s not that bad….LOL!

  2. Okay, I must really be weird because the worst cover is the only one on that page I liked. Can I blame it on a headache? ;p

  3. Ouch that one is really not so good.

  4. Bev, that cover deffo sucked. I have to say though, with all the truly awful covers there are out there, you’d think they’d have chosen a more worthy sucky cover winner.

  5. LOL, Karen. Yeah, that’s probably it. I’ve seen some really bad ones this year. And as for the other ones, I’m picky about the more abstract covers. You almost have to know what the point is before you can know whether they’re actually good or not, you know?
