Random House is partnering with Stanza to offer free backlist titles from prominent Random House authors such as Charlie Huston, Simon Rich, and Julie Garwood. Right now there are 9 titles that are available in full length and for free via your Stanza application. Very very cool. Send to Kindle

Stanza is an ebook reading program for the iPhone. It boasts over 500,000 downloads since it’s debut. We had some technical issues regarding Dear Author’s iPhone Shelfserver but Zac Bedell, the developer of my favorite ebook iPhone reading application Bookshelf, has graciously agreed to host the DearAuthor Shelf. I mentioned recently how much I would love for publishers to move to e-arcs as it would be so much cheaper, allow for more copies to be distributed, and create a smaller ecological footprint. Over the weekend, over 1 million iPhones were sold and lines are still forming outside Apple stores to obtain the latest innovation from Apple.
