In this classic novel of two willful lovers caught in a breathless adventure of deception and betrayal, #1 New York Times bestselling author Judith McNaught has created a powerful and unforgettable masterpiece. ELIZABETH CAMERON The Countess of Havenhurst possessed a rare gentleness and fierce courage to match her exquisite beauty. But her reputation is shattered when she is discovered in the arms of Ian Thornton, a notorious gambler and social outcast. IAN THORNTON A dangerously handsome man of secret wealth and mysterious lineage, his voyage to Elizabeth’s heart is fraught with intrigue, scandal, and a venomous revenge. Destined for each other, yet wary of each other’s motives, Elizabeth and Ian engage in a dance of suspicion and passion that tests the very soul of their star-crossed love. As a twisting path of secrets takes them from London’s drawing rooms to the mysterious Scottish Highlands, Elizabeth must learn the truth: is Ian merely a ruthless fortune hunter at heart?

Our long romance nightmare is soon coming to an end. Judith McNaught is FINALLY digitizing her ebooks. I LOVED this book. It’s so full of drama and angst, misunderstandings, stupid actions, and amazing love. McNaught’s books are true classics for me. I started reading her when I was fourteen and only stopped because she stopped publishing.

The other books to buy right now include Double Standards and Tender Triumph. Both fall on my least favorite McNaught scale but they are 99c. I’ll keep you posted when to buy the others. EEEEEeeeeeEEEEEE (I’m a little excited).

Currently these deals are only at BN. I don’t know why. I’m keeping the links up just in case this will change over the next few days.

A Sea Devil Who’s Reckless At Heart. . .
Captain Connor Merrick’s thirst for danger has brought him fame and fortune as one of the most brazenly successful privateers of the War of 1812. But deep beneath his swagger, derring-do and charm, the handsome American captain is hiding a devastating secret, and he’ll go to any lengths to protect it . . .

A Beauty Who Gets More Than She Bargained For. . . .
Rhiannon Evans has longed for an adventure — and a mysterious, dangerous man to sweep her off her feet. While enroute to the tropical paradise of Barbados, she never dreams that her heart will be captured by the dashing American privateer who rescues her from bloodthirsty pirates. Only Rhiannon can see beneath Connor’s reckless façade to the man beneath. But when tragedy strikes, can Rhiannon’s love save Connor from himself? Or will the secret he guards so carefully, end up being the undoing of them both?

Other books by Harmon have been on sale before so this 99c deal is a great time to fill out your collection. Like Kaetrin who wrote about Substitutability this week, I’m agog at those who do not have TBR piles. Agog, jealous, concerned. A lot of emotions there.

Cat and Heath? Cathy and Heathcliffe? One review said that this had untapped potential but that it was overdramatic.

New Adult Paranormal Romance by bestselling author Kristie Cook ** Mature Content ** Recommended for ages 16+ due to sexual situations and language

First installment of The Book of Phoenix trilogy. Part 2, The Space Beyond, available now!

When Life Falls to Pieces, Answers Lie in the Space Between

After a month-long dance tour overseas, Leni returns to Georgia to care for her great-uncle, only to find him gone, their home empty, and any evidence he ever existed wiped out. All that remains is her truck and a leather-bound book she can’t open. Nearly as disturbing, she keeps running into the deaf and dangerously sexy model she’d met in Italy, and no matter how hard she tries to shake him, her soul won’t let her.

Jeric has traveled the world in search of a piece of his past for over a year, only to reach a dead-end in Georgia … in the exact town where the beautiful dancer from Italy lives. He’s drawn to her like a moth to a flame, but his life as a loner in his silent world allows no room for girlfriends, and he tries to leave her. Except outside forces won’t let him.

When the same “tattoos” suddenly appear on their arms and the book’s lock falls open, Leni and Jeric realize there’s more between them than physical fascination. They must embark on a journey together to discover their connection to each other and their ties to the Book of Phoenix.

And they must figure it all out fast. Shadowy forms that are more monsters than men are closing in, while their own existences are falling to pieces around them.

This first part of The Book of Phoenix takes you on a heart-wrenching ride as you discover the answers that lie in The Space Between.

This is well reviewed but it should be noted that it is only one third of a trilogy. It contains a girl virgin and the man slut trope as well as switching between a journal and the present time. “I didn’t like the book within a book. It was like reading the same story twice.” But even the negative reviews thought the premise was interesting.
