America’s Test Kitchen now offers access to all 3 of its sites for $69.95/year – This should probably fall under the daily deals. America’s Test Kitchen, the company behind Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s County is allowing access to all three of its websites for only $69.95 per year. It used to cost $34.95 for just one site.
“On Tuesday, though, America’s Test Kitchen is taking a step toward bundling that will make readers who want, and in many cases are paying for, access to all three brands very happy. Starting today, ATK is offering bundled access to all three of its websites, plus a selection of 1,000 recipes from its cookbooks, for $69.95 per year. That’s a good deal because previously a subscription to just one website was $34.95 a year, and if you wanted access to the “Cookbook Collection” recipes you had to pay an additional $15 a year.” GigaOM | Tech News and Analysis

Given the relative youth of some of the big YA authors like Veronica Roth (25), cherry picking authors from a website that you own makes sense. Macmillan has launched Swoon, a similar site. HarperCollins had and closed Inkpop so who knows what will happen to Figment. Publishers Weekly
