Top Ten List from Author Rose Lerner

Rose Lerner is the author of In for a Penny, a debut that has garnered a lot of positive buzz. Rose Lerner discovered Georgette Heyer when she was thirteen, and wrote her first historical romance a few years later. Her writing has improved since then, but her fascination with all things Regency hasn’t changed. When not reading, writing, or researching, she enjoys cooking and marathoning old TV shows. She lives in Seattle with two roommates, four cats, and too many books and DVDs to count.

She says of her top ten list, “t was incredibly hard to narrow down, in the end I had to limit myself to Georgian and Regency-set romances I currently have on my bookshelf, and only one per author…in no particular order:

Jane Litte is the founder of Dear Author, a lawyer, and a lover of pencil skirts. She self publishes NA and contemporaries (and publishes with Berkley and Montlake) and spends her downtime reading romances and writing about them. What a great list. All terrific books, though it’s so hard to pick a favorite from most of these authors. Brighter Than The Sun is my favorite Quinn, too!

These top ten lists are really fun, particularly the ones from authors. There’s a very “If You Like” feel to them.

Hate to nitpick, but I’m pretty sure Duran’s BOUND BY YOUR TOUCH is a (late) Victorian, not a Georgian or Regency.

@trish: While that is definitely true, Trish, any recognition that SPECTACULAR book gets is enough to warrant a grin from me.
