OMG, I love, love, love Now You See Her. Such a fun and interesting premise.
Course, what’s not fun abut old school Linda Howard?

There is 3 listed on there that I haven’t read. Guess I need to fix that!

Julie Garwood’s historicals, especially Honor’s Splendour, will always be near and dear to my heart. I only hope one day I can make one of my readers feel about my books the way I feel about hers.

Throw in Prince Charming and Ransom to the Julie Garwood books and I would be happy.
Great list.

Oh Lisa, I could fill my entire top ten with all of Julie Garwood’s historicals, but I figured that might make for a boring list ;) So I picked my all time favorite two and moved up my other all time faves to fill the spots *g*
And yes, I think Now You See Her is an underappreciated Howard book. I rarely ever see that as a reader fave, but it’s definitely my favorite of hers (followed by Mackenzie’s Mountain :)

Totally understand not wanting to put all Garwood’s, but it would be tough to pick just two.
I love Mackenzie’s Mountain, too. I haven’t read Now You See Her. I’m off to find it.

I have read all on the list and have to say great list!
To me, Honor’s Splendour is a true Romantic Romance. My heart just melts…. Now I am going to have to re-read it.

For me, “Dark Fire” is one of the most outstanding wall-bangers I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading. Whenever I have to give an example of a TSTL heroine, I name Tempest, that’s how “memorable” she was. It’s kinda ironic, as I seldom remember names of heroines I’ve loved; but Tempest I hated so much and found such a waste, that I don’t think I’ll ever forget her name. Ironic as well is the fact that this is one of the most popular if not he most popular, of Christine Feehan’s Dark series titles, yet, I couldn’t stand it. It’s interesting how different reader’s tastes can be … which is another reason why it often baffles me when an author goes ballistic over a bad review. I would have slammed “Dark Fire” with a F rating, or a DNF if I wanted to be generous. Maya has it in her top ten hits.
I wholeheartedly agree with “Honour’s Splendor”.

I love Garwood’s historicals and Howard’s older books. Now You See Her is one of my favorite book as well!
Apr 30, 2010 @ 19:15:37
3 of my favourite books are on this list – Julie Garwood’s Honor’s Splendour and Saving Grace and Christine Feehan’s Dark Fire(one of my all-time favourite Christine Feehan books). I haven’t read any of the other authors.

I love Honor’s Splendor and Saving Grace! I probably would rank The Secret and Ransom just above them.
I also love Dark Fire, Darius is my favorite Carpathian.
I love Linda Howard but Mackenzie’s Mountain and Dream Man are my favs. I do like Now You See Her too.

@Mireya If it makes you feel any better you are not alone with that view of Dark Fire. LOL
I am loving these lists posts. My Name is Nell, looks interesting

I love this list! Honor’s Splendour is one of my all time favorites. My copy is so worn and tattered, but I would never part with it. I may have to go reread it right now. My heart melts at the beginning when Madelyne warms Duncan’s feet. Big Sigh!!!
And you all are right, Now You See Her is a great Linda Howard book that was definitely underappreciated. It’s on my keeper shelf.
I’m also a Sharon Sala fan. Great minds and all!

Yes, Yes, YES!! On the Elizabeth Lowell. I cry every single time I read it. Fabulous book.
Agree wholeheartedly on the Garwood’s as well. Honor’s Splendor and Saving Grace are just about my favorites of hers.

As with everyone else, totally agree with the Garwood books. Will she ever go back to writing like that?:(
Love Feehan’s but some are a hit or miss in the Carpathian series, and for the life of me I can’t remember which one “Dark Fire” is..will have to go and look;)
