Recommended Reads for May
This is our recommended reads list for May. To make our recommended list, the book has to be released this month, either as a reissue or a new book published. One reason that our lists don’t often contain digital first books is because we don’t get review copies of those books early. To ameliorate this, we are adding a “recommended” label to the cover of the books that we are recommending, regarding release date. Look for the stamp and banner on covers for a quick view of our recommendations. (The recommended stamp is evolving so it may change until we decide on our favorite look).
Let us know what books we have missed this month!
- Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison recommendation from Shuzluva and Jane
- Camwolf by JL Merrow recommendation from Sarah
- The Locker Room by Amy Lane recommendation from Sarah
- The Edge of Impropriety by Pam Rosenthal recommendation from Jennie and Janine
- Summer at Seaside Cove by Jacquie D’Alessandro recommendation from Jaclyn
- Any Man of Mine by Gibson recommendation from Jayne
- Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart by Sarah MacLean recommendation from Jane
- Breaking Point by Pamela Clare recommendation from Jane
- A Bride for Kolovsky by Carol Marinelli, an HP, recommended by Jane
May I second the recommendation for “The Locker Room”? I just finished it yesterday and it was absolutely breathtaking. Xander and Christian were such amazing, wonderful yet very real, men. Parts of it made me want to cry with the sweetness and parts of it made me cry with the sadness. My only complaint is that one character didn’t get the ass-kicking that he so well deserved. Then again, that he didn’t (on the page anyway) is so very true to life. Highly, highly recommended.
I also really loved “Eleven Scandals” and second that recommendation as well!
No Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews? 0_o
Like above: No Magic Slays? And what about Kiss of Snow – I’m dying for both.
Any other Nalini & Ilona fans out there?
Serena
@nitnot: @Serena: I think that both of those books come out at the end of May so we consider them to be “June” releases.
Thanks for the recommendation for The Locker Room – I started it reading yesterday and loved it so far.
I love JL Merrow’s writing — looking forward to Camwolf!
