January Recommended Reads
Look, a new year and I’m already behind. Here are our January recommended reads. There are more reviews to come of these books. I promise. We wouldn’t send you into the wild unknown without more information. You can check out more January books at the coming soon catalog.
- Here Comes the Groom by Karina Bliss, recommended by Jane and Lazaraspaste
- India Black by Carol Carr, recommended by Jia and Jane but not a favorite of Jennie

Even though I have older copies of Midnight Rainbow and Diamond Bay, I still had to buy a new copy of Trouble by Linda Howard because I was excited about the new release! It’s a nice looking book.
I am surprised not to see Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning, the excitement for that book after five years of waiting seems to be everywhere on Goodreads and Amazon.

@Melissa No one has read the series here except Jaclyn and she hasn’t read Shadowfever. I’m anxious to find out how the series ends before I start.

Random thought: I wonder how many of these ladies have had “work done” on their names. Can there be a real Karina Bliss?
Maybe so.

Ooh I have really old copies of Midnight Rainbow,Diamond Bay and White Lies, which are some of my favorite Linda Howard books. I wonder why they didn’t put White Lies in there too?

Ooh, I didn’t know about Trouble by Linda Howard being a reissue of Midnight Rainbow and Diamond Bay. These are among her best books IMO, so you can add me as recommending these titles.

Another recommended read for January be me ^^ (just finished it yesterday) – especially if you already read the series: Eileen Wilks Blood Challenge, the 7th book in the World of the Lupi Urban Fantasy/Romance series is out!
I’m also looking forward to reading Robin D. Owens new series from Luna that starts with Enchanted No More.

May I also suggest Nalini Singh’s “Angel’s Consort” (I think?) which is coming out on Jan. 25?

I’m interested in reading the review for SEALed With a Kiss by Jill Monroe. I finished reading it today and found it to be an average read. I liked the first chapter, but the rest didn’t have enough tension to keep me interested. It was a very easy book to put down.

@Sally: I liked it because I really thought it showed the two characters going from attraction to love. The two fit together, their strengths and weaknesses overlapping.

I’ve just come back from holiday – I read One Real Thing by Anah Crow and Dianne Fox when I was away – I thought it showed D/s in a really beautiful light for these two characters; there was a real mutuality to it. I’m looking forward to reading Sarah’s review.
