I’m reading The Girl with the Cat Tattoo! Haven’t finished it yet but it’s such a charming and cute story, very original and quirky. I’m glad it made the list and can’t wait to read the review.

I’d like to add Elizabeth Leiknes’s The Understory to this list. I reviewed it here: http://dearauthor.com/book-reviews/overall-b-reviews/b-plus-reviews/review-the-understory-by-elizabeth-leiknes/. Not a Romance, per se, but it does have a strong romantic thread. And the digital price at both Amazon and B&N is currently less than for a MMPB, even though the book is a hardcover. Moreover, the digital formatting includes the illustrations at the start of each chapter in the book, a lovely touch.

I’m delighted to see my new book on this list, and can’t wait to see what Jayne has to say about it! For the convenience of anyone searching for it on Amazon, though, I have to point out that the title is Babes IN Tinseltown. (It’s supposed to be a play on Babes in Toyland.) Thank you for your recommendation! I look forward to reading the review.

@Sheri Cobb South: So sorry. That was probably my fault when I sent my rec info to Jane. I’ve fixed it.

Thanks, Jayne.
Actually, this reminded me of something I hadn’t thought of in years. Back when I sold my first book (Wrong-Way Romance, a Bantam Sweet Dreams title) in 1991, as the release date drew nearer, I would dream about it almost every night. Some nights, I would dream it had the wrong title. Other nights, I would dream it had the correct title, but someone else’s name as the author. Once I even dreamed that the cover was perfect, but when I opened it up, I discovered a completely different book! I wonder if all new authors are this neurotic?

@Sheri Cobb South: LOL, is this the authors’ version of dreaming you’re naked in public or that you’ve got a final exam today you haven’t studied for?

Hmm, could be! Although I confess, I’ve had those dreams too. (Along with the one where my teeth fall out, the one where I’m back in high school and can’t remember which locker is mine, etc.)
