Best of 2010 Jayne

In no particular order:

Honorable Mention –

Another long time reader who read romance novels in her teens, then took a long break before started back again about 15 years ago. She enjoys historical romance/fiction best, likes contemporaries, action- adventure and mysteries, will read suspense if there's no TSTL characters and is currently reading very few paranormals.

I loved Christmas With Her Boss! Definitely one of my favorite reads of the year.

Mostly categories Jayne? I’m sort of surprised. I bought the Jennifer Greene title. I love Jennifer Greene’s series books especially some of the work she did under Jeanne Grant under a now defunct line. Still haven’t read the Arianna Franklin yet. I don’t know what I’m waiting for either. Overall, I own five titles off this list. Have a good holiday!

Someone like you by Julie James? Isn’t it Something about you?

Sorry to go a little off-topic this once, but I wanted to alert people that in today’s HuffPo, Al Franken has an alarming article on how the U.S. FCC is now making rulings that threaten net neutrality for getting sites like this one on mobile broadband devices. The FCC is also not banning the “paid prioritization” that could let corporate blogs buy the fast lane, putting our sites in the slow.

The outcry from independent websites was crucial yesterday in improving the FCC ruling. But we need to stay alert and inform each other as new threats come up. We need a community of Paul Revere web bloggers.

@Keishon: What are you waiting on!? You know you want to read it.

I was also surprised, when I was going over my reading list, how many categories got higher grades from me than my usual single title recs but such is the case this year.

Oh, and just for general information – the list is not in any order.

Cool list, Jayne! I have a bunch of the categories in my TBR.

I wish I’d thought of doing Honorable Mentions, but then I would have had even more stress and hair-pulling, and I don’t have enough hair for that.

@Jayne I have to apologize. I forgot I had this set to post and I didn’t do the editing/adding of links I usually do. Doing this right now!

Blergh. I see you have beaten me to it, Jayne. Sorry for falling down on the job here.

@Sunita: I came up with my top rated reads of the year and couldn’t get it down to 10 so hence the workaround and chance to mention more!

I really liked Suddenly A Bride, and A Bride After All. I hope there is a third book in the series with the owner of the bridal shop as the heroine.

@Leigh: Me too! I’ve been checking the eharlequin site each month for it. If anyone has any info about when we can expect it, I’d sure appreciate it.

Hi Jayne – Just wanted to let you know that I’m honored to have Quarterback Daddy chosen as one of your ten best reads for 2010. Considering how many books you must consume in a twelve month period…well, I can only say, thank you very much. And yes, I’ve become an avid football fan now :)
