I second the request to calm down on the one line posts, my entire page of news is filled with DA and nothing else. Please do whole posts, not all these one liners every few minutes – it’s spam, and that’s never good

I don’t mind the one line posts. You can keep them up, as far as I’m concerned. It’s nice to read a running dialog of what’s happening, since we can’t be there.
WRT what you posted about – “word of mouth sells books” – you know what that means, of course. Reader blogs are IMPORTANT, despite what some publishers/authors may wish to think.

I agree with Gwen – I’m enjoying the one liners (and the lengthier updates, too).

Don’t stop the one line updates!
I’m sitting back (with my coffee in the morning, iced tea in the afternoon, wine in the evening) AND enjoying the one line comments.
I don’t want to be there – conventions, lines, crowds – blech. But every year. some articulate blogger posts a summary of the event and I feel a twinge (meeting online friends, squeeing over authors, free samples, presentations … oh, yeah!) But, I really don’t want to be there! So, the one line comments are providing the best of both worlds – a sense of the event from the comfort of my desk chair – heaven.

I don’t really understand the one line posts. EC is out of what, exactly? Eyeliner?

The one liners are “tweets” made through http://twitter.com. They allow you to post from your cell phone. I’ve been doing them, too, and I LOVE Jane’s. In fact, I got up this morning and there was nothing new since last night, and I was bummed, LOL!

desk chairs are quite compact to use in an office setting that is why we use them a lot in our office *
