RomCon Giveaway Winners
The following random winners (selected by random.org) are the winners of the $125 Rom Con Conference fee. If one of you decide you don’t want to attend, please notify us immediately so that we can allow another reader to attend the conference. The conference organizers will contact you via the email you left when you made your comment.

I attended the authors’ booksigning at RWA in DC last year and had a wonderful time: stood in line with Lydia Joyce and admired her daughter, discovered new authors as I walked down the aisles (e.g., Kristan Higgins), and was charmed in person by some authors who had previously only charmed me in print (MJP, Madeline Hunter, Karen Rose). I’d love to have the opportunity to attend RomCon and duplicate that experience. |

For Teebee (and others who don’t know anyone attending RomCon) … you’ll meet plenty of readers in line, at tables, etc. I know this from my own experience of attending RT 4 years solo. Plus you’ll be hobnobbing with the authors!
Perhaps the Dear Author readers could meet – maybe Friday morning?

I’m planning to go! This will be the first non-urgent trip that I will make on my own since having kids and I’m already feeling guilty just making the plans as I can hear my 2.5 year old wailing “Mommy, Don’t go! I don’t want you to go!”
I have a few questions; I hope someone here can answer.
First, DH wants to know whether I have to declare the $125 value as “income” on our 2010 tax return. Do we have any tax experts here?
Second, I haven’t decided whether to attend the evening dinners. I’ve never attended a costume ball or masquerade in my life, and it seems like I’d have to go spend quite a bit $$ to have the outfits for these events. Do attendees of other similar conventions with such events get all decked out for costume balls or masquerades?
