November Device Giveaway – Kindle Fire

Kindle Fire

I was debating what to giveaway this month and in cleaning out my drawers I found a brand new un opened Kindle Fire that I had purchased during a sale earlier this year. So guess what? Yup, this month’s device giveaway is a Kindle Fire. Last month’s winners are announced on the rafflecopter and have been emailed.

For newbies, this is a monthly giveaway we host as a thank you for using our affiliate links. Whenever you click through to Amazon, we get a small percentage (around 7%) of each purchase. We really appreciate it as it keeps our Dear Author engine running.

You can enter by either liking our Facebook page, following us on Twitter, or leaving a blog post comment.

What are you thankful for this year?
Books. Seriously, books. I’ve read more this year than any other and I swear books have kept me on just this side of sane.

I’m thankful for these giveaways :-). But seriously. This has been a very tough and emotional year for me but I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life who kept and keep me going. And I’m thankful for the power of literature to take us away from our troubles, if only for a little while. Reading has gotten me through so many things in my life. The power of literacy is amazing.

That my daughter is thriving in high school. I was a little nervous, because she was coming from a very small class (9 other students in her 8th grade!) in a private school, and none of her friends who she’d been with since 3rd grade would be there. In fact, more than half of them are all together at another school.

But–after a rocky few days and several weeks of only eating with her older brother at lunch, she’s not only gotten a lunch-eating-buddy and friend, she’s also in the school play and making other friends as well! Oh, and her academics are pretty good too :)

    Hi Jane,

Just a comment. May have been made already. In Canada, we have our own version of the Amazon ebook store – amazon.ca. I buy many books that you mention in the daily deals. But I’m not able to buy from the amazon link that you provide because it basically tells me “you have an amazon.ca account. Go search there! I refuse to give you an easy way to navigate!”. I feel sad that I can’t contribute to DA. If possible, can you also provide the amazon.ca links to books? Thanks.
