JOINT REVIEW: Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh (and Giveaway)

UPDATE: We’ve decouple the review from the giveaway because this is a book so many want to talk about. The review will be reposted on Monday in a new and separate post.
The winners have all been emailed.
1) Andy Swanson
2) Cath
3) Adrianne Robinson
4) Jenny
5) Sera
6) Nicola
7) sequoia
8) Erika
NOTE FROM JANE: We have 8 copies of the hardcover debut from a Dear Author favorite, Nalini Singh. These 8 copies we will give away on Sunday to a random commenter to this post. This book engendered such a strong response that Janine and Shuzluva decided to do a joint review. There may be some spoilers in this review and if you don’t want to be spoiled, just skip to the comments section and leave a comment as to why you want to read Kiss of Snow. I’ll tell you my reason. Because Singh delivered everything she promised when Hawke and Sienna were first introduced in the first book in this series, Slave to Sensation. I’ve told anyone who asked that yes, this book is worth the hardcover price.

Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:46:47
Ack! The temptation to read the review is awful… but I’m going to be strong. (or weak and hope for an advanced copy!)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:48:17
I can’t WAIT for this book! So excited! Thanks for having the giveaway :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:49:48
I just wanted to comment and say that I’ve read it, it’s totally an A book and absolutely worth the hardcover price (I too have been telling everyone that it’s worth it). So if you don’t win a copy, don’t hesitate to buy it!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:50:39
I’ve read ALL her main books (I’m missing an anthology, I think) but I would ADORE ADORE ADORE to read this!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:51:12
I cannot wait to read this book!!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:53:06
Ok I am so not reading this review until I read this book. I am one of those people who has been waiting since Slave to Sensation for this story and the age difference never bothered me as I am of Sienna’s age. Hee…Enter me please :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 11:56:42
I’ve read all of the previous books and I can’t wait to read this one!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:00:22
I am so glad this book delivers! I am not reading the review, I want to be surprised.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:00:26
OMG! I have been all but crying because this book isn’t out yet. I read the whole darn review, just trying to get some spoilers. lol Like you both, I have been waiting for this since I first met them and oh, everything says this book will not disappoint.
Consider me entered.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:00:28
I love the series. It sounds like the book has everything that readers wanted and expected with Hawke and Sienna. I’m also glad that there are a couple of hiccups along the way bc a perfect book would be boring. Thx for the review and the contest! :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:01:38
Really looking forward to this one – every book I’m reading at the moment pales beside the fact that it’s not Kiss of Snow. Fingers crossed for the ARC.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:02:28
OMG, I cannot wait for this book to come out! I have to admit that I prefer the Singh’s Guild Hunter series, but Hawk and Sienna have always intrigued me and I’ve been on pins and needles waiting for their book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:03:00
I’m dying to read this book! Most anticipated book of the year, for sure!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:03:39
I’m skipping the review b/c I don’t want to be spoiled. Consider me entered if you’re accepting international entries. :) Thanks!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:05:03
I want to win it because I’m a huge fan of all of Nalini’s books, both Psy/Changeling and Guild Hunters, and I have neither the shelf space or money to get this in hardback. So I hope I win!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:08:13
FWIW, I don’t think this review is any more spoilery than other reviews here at DA.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:08:18
I wanna read Kiss of Snow…
Hope I can win…
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:08:37
I was introduced to Nalini Singh’s psy-changeling series last year and I read the books nonstop until I caught up. I absolutely love this series. Getting a copy of the book right away instead of waiting for the mass paperback to be published would be so wonderful. (I’m a poor student on a budget.) Thank you!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:09:45
Great review. I would love to be included. I love Nalini’s books and have been looking forward to this one.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:09:54
Oh my, such a wonderful review from you two, Janine and Shuzluva!
I can’t wait to read this one, since Nalini is one of my favorite author. And the way both of you describe this book, I love reading it. It satisfied my need to read it, even just a little :)
Hawke always make me intrigued to him, and I love the way he tease Sascha and make Lucas annoyed. I know that he will paired with Sienna, just a little bit surprised with their age difference, but after read your review, seems Nalini can handle that.
To much that I wan to say here, like Sascha and Lucas’s baby (ah, finally),about the development in Psy-Changeling world, the Ghost and where Nalini will take us in this series.
Thanks for the giveaway too ^_^

Great review! I love joint reviews. I’m so excited about this book! I’ve loved the interaction between Hawke and Sienna since the first book Slave to Sensation.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:12:02
I’ve read all of Nalini’s books and have been dying for Hawke and Sienna’s story.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:12:04
I am really looking forward to this one. It would be terrific to win a copy.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:14:15
It sounds so good. I can’t wait to read it.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:14:59

I want. That is all.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:17:17
Fabulous review! I have been immersed in a re-read of this series, waiting for Hawke and Sienna’s story. Enter me please.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:18:54
Been looking forward to this one since I got hooked on the series and glommed the first five in one weekend. I’ll be in the middle of Mongolia when the book is released, so I’d love to win an ARC!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:21:31
@Angela James:
On Twitter I told Angela I’d decided to wait for the mmpb. Her words: BAD DECISION. *g*
Yeah, if I don’t win, I’m getting my own hardback. Because folks I trust are telling me I should.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:24:54
You two have absolutely SOLD me on this book! I have never read any of Ms. Singh’s books, but I am not at all averse to reading a series out of order. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I DID read one in order. As an avid watcher of 5 or 6 different soap operas while growing up, starting in the middle of a storyline and keeping up multiple lines is old hat to me by now.

Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:27:50
Thanks for the joint review, it only ramped up my WANT to REALLY REALLY want, lol. Maybe I shouldn’t have read it…
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:28:36
I’m so exicted for this book!!! I would love to win a copy!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:29:29
I’ve been waiting for this book, please enter me!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:33:14
Please sign me up! I have gotten away from Singh (that too long TBR) and this seems like a good way to jump back in.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 12:33:43
Didn’t think it was possible, but you made me even more excited for this book. Fabulous review! Please enter me for the book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:13:22
Skipping down to the comments (I don’t want any spoilers, with how much I’ve been anticipating this book)! I cannot WAIT for this book to be released. I’ll likely buy a copy as soon as it comes out, hardcover price or not, because Singh is one of my few auto-buy authors, but that doesn’t mean I’ll say no to a free copy. ;)
ETA: I’d also like to urge those who want this to be their first Singh book to reconsider! If you win, just hold onto it until you read the previous books. Trust me, one of the best parts for those of us who’ve been waiting for KOS is the build-up throughout the other books.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:15:20
I flippin love this series and I can’t wait for this book! All of the reviewers who received ARCs have uniformly given it high marks. Is it May yet? Consider me entered!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:18:14
Oh the spirit is willing but the flesh (aka eyes) are weak. Must not look at review. Want.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:19:09
I’m so excited for this book! Fingers crossed!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:19:15
The tension between Sienna and Hawke throughout the whole series is so intense, that I can’t wait until the book comes out!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:23:10
I have yet to try this series but I remember enjoying a short story written by Nalini Singh. So if I win this book I will take it as a sign to finally buy and read the entire series!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:25:15
I have been dying to read Hawke and Sienna’s story every since they first appeared together. I would love to win a copy :-)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:27:29
Thanks for the great review, I’m really excited about reading Kiss of Snow.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:28:31
I love this series. I am dying to read Kiss of Snow. Thank you for the awesome giveaway.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:29:08
I am so relieved it’s going to be worth the hardcover price! I’d love to win a copy, however.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:31:48
Ok I’m taking you guys at your word and just skipping this review. As much as I love the writers here I’ve been anticipating this book too much to ruin it for myself now.
I would LOVE to win a copy of this book because we’ve all been waiting so long for it! We’ve been teased with Hawke and Sienna from almost the very beginning and I just can’t wait anymore for their HEA!!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:33:20
Great review! Like Jane, and others, have already said, I’ve been intrigued by Hawke and Sienna since they were first introduced in Slave to Sensation. Please include me in the drawing. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:33:21
It’s Hawke’s book! It feels like I (/we) have been waiting forever for his story and all the rave reviews are not helping! :)
Case in point:
“I've told anyone who asked that yes, this book is worth the hardcover price”
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:33:58
I’ve been looking forward to Kiss of Snow :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:34:43
So looking forward to this book – not only for Hawke and Sienna’s relationship, but also for more details on Sienna’s mysterious X ability.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:34:55
I’m dying to know about Sascha’s baby. And more about Nikita, so I’m hoping she shows up here.
I can’t wait!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:38:50
I skipped the review because I’m dying to read the book and I don’t want to know what happens! (Okay, I admit I’ve read the excerpts Nalini posted on her site, but that’s it.) I would love to win a copy.
I want to read this book because Singh has never disappointed me with one of her books and the teasing we’ve gotten about Hawke and Sienna has been awesome. Her world-building is brilliant and I’m continually surprised at how early she drops information that you don’t realize is important until books later.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:39:25
Wow, definitely want to pick up a copy of this book. Looks really good. Thanks for the giveaway.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:40:38
I think it ate my comment, so apologies if this is twice.

Ooooh.
*biting nails*,
*tapping feet* ,
*rending flesh*
I have been waiting for this one For.ev.er! Sorry, *hands over eyes* I refuse to read the review because I want to be complete a virgin. I refuse to even read the blurb. But I peeked and saw the ‘A’ grade. so Yay!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:42:24
I would love to be entered in this contest. Dying to read it
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:44:43
I’ve been torn about reading this book, because huge age differences, and preternaturally mature characters are one of my biggest pet peeves. Your review has made me feel better about this, especially as I’ve had the same problems with the submissive/maternal/etc. characterizations, and have had the same favorites as you listed above. Would love to win a copy!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:48:18
I want to read it! I had to skip to avoid spoilers and now I’m too curious.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:48:36
Groovy, I dig Nalini Singh.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:50:21
I love this series and can’t wait for Kiss of Snow to come out. Ms. Singh has created a wonderfully rich universe and characters. To those who haven’t read anything in this series, I highly recommend that you start with Slave to Sensation and read them in order to get the full scope of the story.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:53:26
Please enter me – this is such an interesting series with such great world-building.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:53:44
WANT. I’ve been DYING for this book for what feels like forever. I’m glad to hear it’s as good as I hoped it would be.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:57:36
I’ve been DYING for this book since the first Psy/Changling book from Nalini Singh. DYING, I tell you!
I will read it one way or another, but I would love love love to win the hardcover. Holy crap, I’m bouncing in my office chair, over here!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:58:21
Please, please, please! Oh, nom, nom! I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:58:53
I will follow wherever Nalini chooses to go. I love both of her series and always have the pub dates marked on my calendar. Please enter me!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:59:34
Hee, Aberforth! Apparently, we’re in a DYING contest. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 13:59:59
I like shapeshifters (the concept & stories) & would really like to read this one.
Thank you.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:00:20
My friend bought Slave to Sensation for my birthday a couple of years ago and I absolutely fell in love with the series. I have bee waiting on pins and needles for Hawke’s book and am really excited to see the relationship develop with Sienna. I cannot wait for this book!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:00:57
I’ll actually be reading this book for everything except the Hawke/Sienna relationship. I’ve been kind of dreading them since StS, even though I like both characters. First, I really dislike such blatant foreshadowing. Second, I’m going to need to see a LOT of writing gymnastics for me to get into what’s essentially a guardian/ward relationship. The age difference in itself doesn’t bother me, but the fact that the feelings between them started when she was a teen and he was an adult with a huge amount of power over her…no author has managed to make that work for me.
So why am I looking forward to reading this KoS? I’m addicted the Psy/Changeling plot, for one. I NEED to know that’s going to happen with the split Psy Council and the war with the Changelings, and I want to see more of the characters I’ve gotten to know and love. And also, Nalini has managed to do what very few authors have, and for a much longer stretch…make me accept and even like things that normally stop me from even picking up a book, like the mating for life thing; or just the fact that it’s a long running series. I have to see if she can manage this with H/S.
So, yeah, I’ll be reading this one. And I’ll even pay the ridiculous price for the ebook version if I don’t win a copy. I wonder if anyone who wasn’t already on the H/S bandwagon has reviewed KoS?
ETA:Hawke is the same age as Riley, which I think makes him early to mid 30′s.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:01:03
So glad that she’s going to be published in hardback now since I definitely consider her books keepers!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:08:14
I LURVE this series! Please enter me. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:08:14
Honestly, I want this book because I am in terrible withdrawls from the Psy/Changeling world. Because I buy every book the day it comes out and I tell EVERYONE to read the series every chance I get. Because I HAVE to know what happens with Walker and what that rotating twisting star thing is and why he calms down kids and if Lara manages to get him… I’ll stop, because I can keep going on reasons why I want this book, but really, it’s because I WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT this book, lol.
Dee
(who braved spoilers to enter, scrolling blindfolded to the bottom)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:09:10
I didn’t read the review, because I’ve been waiting for this book ever since Slave to Sensation came out in 2006! With that much anticipation, I’m avoiding anything that even looks remotely like a spoiler ;) I can’t wait to come back and read it though! Really looking forward to this book. Please consider me entered!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:09:53
I love this series and would be over the moon to win a copy.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:12:51
I don’t think I’m alone when I say EVERYONE’s been waiting for this book and the fact that all reviewers who received ARCs have universally praised the book is an excellent sign!
Consider me entered in the contest!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:20:35
I want to read Kiss of Snow because each book in the series has not only delivered on its own, but raised the stakes for the series. I love her world building, the intricate but natural interactions between the characters, and the seamless integration of the three species into their world.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:21:23
I’ve had this book pre-ordered for what seems like years! I haven’t read the review or the comments because I really don’t want to be spoiled for this one, but I was glad to see that both reviewers gave it an A/A-
Please enter me in the contest – thanks.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:22:06
Love the joint review. Book sounds terrific. Count me in, please. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:22:18
Did not read, because I hate spoilers, but you definitely intrigue me with your comment, so I’d like to win!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:24:10
I have been waiting for this book and the review definitely did not make the squirmy anticipation any better. Apparently, I enjoy torture. I have the book pre-ordered right now but if I win I will just by a Kindle copy. I have to say that I never really felt the age difference issue. I am not sure if its because I didn’t think of it or that the relationship itself has been building and overwhelms those questions. I would be interested to see Ms. Singh addresses the generational differences in subsequent books.
I think one of the things I really like is that her books have solid continuity and world-building. I feel like I am not only reading the romance for 2 characters but continuity for other characters I fell in love with in prior books.
However, I second Shuzluva and want to know where Kaleb’s book is. I would hate to have to wait as long as we did for Hawke’s book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:27:22
Throwing my hat into this snowball’s chance in hell giveaway ;) For Nalini, I’d read a print book. I’ve been waiting for KoS for over two years now. I about died when I saw on her website it wasn’t out until 2009 – I’ve loved Hawke from the start, and the whole forbidden love/off limits aspect with Sienna. *happy squee*
I’m so jealous of everyone who has already read it! (But you know, glad of the positive response across the board as well.)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:27:50
I can’t wait until this book comes out. I’m so excited.
That’s all I really have to say.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:28:05
I’m looking forward to reading this one. I wasn’t sure about the set-up in the other books – but you two have convinced me that it works. :-)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:28:28
I am counting down the days. I would love to get it early.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:29:41
Cannot WAIT for release day on this one.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:32:16
I can’t wait to read this! I’ve been waiting for Hawke and Sienna to get together since there was even a hint that they’d be a couple. And OMG, Walker and Lara! I can’t wait to read about them. A previous book (Play of Passion I think) gave us some interaction between the two of them and now I want more. There are so many reasons I want to read this book, I can’t list them all!
Great review by the way! And thanks for the giveaway :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:32:38
Pick me! After this review, I’m more excited than ever to read this story!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:36:41
I have such a hard time at not reading spoilers about upcoming book but I’m going to do it for this one! Most anticipated book of the year for me. I’m SO happy to hear that we aren’t disappointed!! Please enter me!! i would be SO pumped
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:41:38
I cannot wait to read this book. I have been anxiously awaiting Hawke and Sienna since the first book in the series, and I am so glad to hear that you guys liked it.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:43:14
Hi
Nalini Singh is a great author. Ive read and love all her novels. She gives great hope to young New Zealand and Island writers. Been waiting for this book for what feels like forever, I have been counting down the days till Kiss Of Snow comes out. Its driving me and my friends crazy :P.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:44:27
I love this series and I can’t wait to read Kiss of Snow! Great review!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:45:24
Super excited for this book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:45:44
I can’t wait ’til Tuesday! The library purchased book seven in the Psy-Changling series and when I tried to read it I was totally lost! I couldn’t understand a thing about the world and refused to read the rest of the books. Then one day a friend offered me Slave to Sensation and I LOVED IT! I became an absolute fangirl! I’ve reread all the books in the series at least five times since.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:46:37
I made myself skip the plot summary, but I couldn’t resist the rest. How often is it that a book that you’ve longed to read actually delivers? Not that often, I say, although now I’m trying to think of others…Hmmm.
Anyway, sign me up. This is the number one release of the year for me.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:46:48
Love this review. I just started reading this series, and Hawke and Sienna’s book sounds terrific.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:47:23
I cannot wait to read this book! And thanks to this review, I’m practically salivating for KOS even more. I was all sadface about the hardcover price and was going to wait for it in paperback but I don’t think I can now. So impatient!
And long repressed emotions finally surfacing and Hawke in all his sexiness? Total win.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:48:42
I am so excited so for Kiss of Snow to come out!! I recently discovered Psy-Changelings and have held off reading the last couple of books in the series so I can read them right before KoS comes out.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:50:19
If you’re accepting international entries, I would love to be entered for this one. Seriously, have been waiting for what feels like forever for May to come around.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:53:42
Can’t wait for this book! Yay!!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:54:14

Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:56:48
Me please! Cannot wait to read this book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:57:15
I can’t wait for this book to come out!! I love Hawke and Sienna and have been waiting so long for it. Ever since I started the psy-changeling books, I’ve been wowed each time. Nalini has teased us with Hawke/Sienna’s story throughout the course of the series and I can’t wait for it to come out!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:58:12
I wish I could enter my name multiple times to show you how much I have been wanting to read this book. I raced through this series in about a month and half, which was great while it lasted. Then I finished the last book and realized I had months to go until the next book! All my fingers and toes are crossed to win this contest!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 14:58:16
I was so excited that I went and posted my original entry in the wrong thread *embarrased look* Anyway, please enter me in the drawing. Like many others, I’ve been waiting to read this particular love story, though I admit I am equally hooked on the world creation :)
Well, this is not what my original post said, but close enough :D
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:01:22
Impatiently awaiting this book and would love to win a copy!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:02:18
Nalini Singh in hardback–what a treasure! Thanks for letting us all salivate over the chance to win a copy.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:03:32
Pick me pick me pick me! I’ve been waiting for this book for years (of course, so has everyone else).
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:03:46
Why? It’s Hawks Book!! No need to elaborate. Sienna was just biding her time. He is soo cooked!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:09:36
I’d *love* to read it since I’m headed towards the end of the semester, not sure what summer will bring–a book that will help me not think about the future for a few hours/days would be fantastic.
Also, just like many others here, I’ve been waiting for this story since the first time we read about these two!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:11:59
I can’t wait to read this.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:12:57
I skimmed the review – and cannot wait to read the book, I think we have been waiting forever for Hawke and Sienna!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:13:46
My friend always raved about this series and between her, the excerpts I’ve read and your review, I’m fairly chomping at the bit to read this. At least I’ve got some time to read more of the series – I’ve only read the first book so far. Fingers crossed this is open to international readers.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:14:30
Nalini Singh is an auto-buy for me for both this series and the Archangel series. I first read her with the Dorain story and quickly went to the backlist and caught up. She’s a great storyteller. Thanks for such a generous contest!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:16:45
Oh please!
Pretty pretty please! I’ve been rereading the series and can’t wait for Hawke & Sienna’s book. This waiting between books is awful!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:24:48
Please enter me! I’ve had this book marked on my calendar for months and this review is making me even more excited. I’m even more excited because Nalini will be in my town on the day it’s published!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:38:43
Been waiting for this. I’ve read all the others and look forward to this one.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:42:24
Oh, please count me in for this. I have heard such good things about this series!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:44:04
Have you seen the cover? Those abs are worth it alone!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:45:11
This review is such a tease! It’s a month away before the book comes out and I’m already falling for the book from reading the review :)
Please enter me for the contest (*fingers crossed*)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:46:30
This books sounds absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to read it. I’ve been with the series since Slave to Sensation and have been intrigued by Hawke from the beginning. Nalini Singh is one of my favorite authors so she’s always a must read.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:50:11
She is a new author for me. Please sign me up. I’d love to read her book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:51:01
I would love this one! More so because hardcovers are not on my budget, so I get to wait another year otherwise…
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:51:57
What romance reader wouldn’t love a hardback copy of Nalini Singh’s Kiss of Snow? I’d love, love, love to win one!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:53:09
OMG thanks for the joint review and for posting it now. I want this book. I cannot wait for this book. I am going to drop whatever I’m reading as soon as I get my hands on this book! Lol. Each of the previous books have managed to grip me some way emotionally. I want to read this one really, really bad because I know Hawke + Sienna would = emotionsx…10, 100? Lol
Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:53:21
I’d love to read this book!

Apr 12, 2011 @ 15:59:00
Don’t enter me in the drawing. I am e-only these days and will pay the price for this one.
I’ve been waiting for this book and worried that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations (which are ridiculously high). After reading the review, I can’t wait until it comes out.
I have agreed with the DA reviews of the other books in this series, so I am sure this one will be no different.
Thanks for the great review.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:02:31
I’ve really been looking forward to this one–I can’t wait to see him take a fall. ;-) I will read it one way or the other but to win it would be really lovely. Thanks!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:08:35
I am waiting eagerly for this book b/c I fell in love with Nalini’s books when she wrote categories…and still read every one as soon as it is out.
Also, I actually like the older more experienced man trope!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:12:47
I’ve been following this series from the beginning and she just keeps getting better. I can’t wait to see how Nalini handles Hawke and Sienna’s story.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:15:46

Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:18:35
Dying with anticipation over this book and would love to win – Sienna’s been one of my favorite characters since the beginning, and I’m so looking forward to her and Hawke finally getting together.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:20:39

Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:21:22

Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:23:49
I love all of Nalini’s books and have been looking forward to this one ever since Slave to Sensation came out. I don’t know how I’m going to make it until the end of May.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:25:47
I can’t wait for this book!! Have been eagerly waiting since Hawke was first introduced in Slave to Sensation. Winning a copy would be incredible, as I’m not sure I could justify picking it up at HC prices just now :(
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:26:13
I would LOVE a copy of Kiss of Snow!!! I can’t wait til it releases!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:26:25
Oh, I can’t wait to read this one. It seems like it’s been forever since Hawk and Sienna were introduced. I’d love to win a copy. It’s going to kill me having to wait until it comes out in paperback.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:28:14
Ooo! I’ve read all of the Psy/Changeling series, and I can’t wait to read this one. Your review has given me much hope that this will be a fantastic book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:29:38
I skipped directly to the comments because I didn’t want a single spoiler about that book. I’ve been hoping to read Hawke and Sienna’s story for yers, ever since their first clash in Slave to Sensations and I want Kiss of Snow to be a total roller coaster ride!!! Those are two headstrong characters with hidden vulnerabilities we’s seen evolve over the course of what, 8 books now? Or is it 9? We’re already attached to them and that makes this book all the more attractive to me as a reader. Cannot wait to read this!!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:29:39
Oh… What I wouldn’t do to win a copy of this book. I can’t wait to read it. I have been thinking about what this couple’s story would be like almost from the beginning of the series. Can’t. Wait. :-)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:32:40
I would love a copy of Hawke and Sienna's book.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:34:08

Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:37:11
I’d love to win one of the freebies. Throw my name in the hat, please!
Thanks for the review. I sort of skimmed it because I didn’t want to know too much or be influenced by others’ thoughts.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:37:25
I love all of Nalini’s books (both Psy/Changeling and the Guild Hunter). She never fails to keep me entertained. I can’t wait to curl up with this latest adventure.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:38:04

I skipped the review, no spoilers please. Though I will admit it was a bit difficult, not to ease the wait with spoilers.
Thank you for the giveaway.

Nalini’s Psy/Changeling series rocks! I’d LOVE a copy of Kiss of Snow – it’s sure to be an amazing read. My book budget doesn’t include hardcover books, so I’ll be waiting months (with fingers in my ears to ward off spoilers) for the paperback version. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:43:18
Hi
Would love a copy of this book – I have read all the Psy/Changeling stories and her Guild Hunter books and she is a wonderful author.

Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:47:34
I love the changling series and have been checking Nalini’s website daily hoping for more information on the book as it gets closer… please, please enter me in the drawing!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:47:35
It sounds like this is a great book to have been in Hardcover.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:05
I would love a copy of this book. I have waiting to hear about Hawke since Day 1.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:17
Please pick me! I love everything Nalini and don’t want to wait.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:24
The wait for this book is driving me insane! Really, it is (thus consider myself entered, so that maybe it won’t be as long of a wait). I actually like the age gap, since Sienna isn’t exactly immature and the fact that there is one drives Hawke crazy (along with all the other issues between them). ;-) Even though he’s probably my favorite character (with the possible exception of Judd & Drew), I love seeing a tortured/frustrated Hawke. Does that make me sadistic? lol. I do want him & Sienna to get their HEA of course, but I want them to go through all sorts of drama to get there. It makes the payoff that much more sweeter. :-) I also love the fact that they both want each other but can’t be together (or don’t think they can be right now). I always find myself rereading the Hawke and/or Sienna scenes throughout the entire series. There’s just so much tension there. I became an immediate fan when Sienna told Hawke off in Slave to Sensation (The whole “you’re making generalizations again” comment, lmao) & it just grew and grew from there. Anyway, thanks for the contest!
ps. Hawke should be around 34 years old, as he was 32 in Caressed by Ice (he tells Brenna his age), and Sienna is 17 in that one.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:33
I’m a huge Nalini fan, would love to win!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:34
I want a copy of this book because I have read every single Nalini Singh book there is and I still want MORE! I love this woman’s writing, she is such a legend! Hawke and Sienna have always been two of my favorite characters, right up there with Lucas and Sascha! I need this book… Thanks for the chance to win!
I am bookmarking this review, as well, because as the time gets closer, I will read the review. I can’t torture myself right now.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:49:55
I love the Psy/Changling series. Singh does a great job at world building and getting the reader invested in all the characters that she introduces. This is one of the handfull of series that is on my re-read list. And i’ve been waiting for Hawke’s story since he first called Sasha “darling”.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:50:29
I would love to win this book! I wanted to read the review, but didn’t want to take a chance on spoilers, but it’s killing me! I love Nalini. She’s such an awesome author!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:51:12
I’ve been waiting for Hawke’s story from the beginning of the series. I’m going to be interested to see how this book works as I haven’t always thought Sienna was right for Hawke – but knowing Nalini I’ll probably eat my words and she will have made it a very emotionally intense read. That’s why I love her books – she always delivers.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:51:44
I love Singh’s books and have been eagerly awaiting this release!!! I can’t wait to see how Sienna’s powers manifest themselves.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:53:01
Cuz i’ve been waiting for this couples book since I started, and gosh darn it I’ve waited long enough.

please have pity on me. we in the UK don’t get it until august which is about 2 months later sooooo please please choose me. Right begging over, the reason i want to read Hawkes story is since he blazed accross the pages of slave to sensation he (ok nalini )has been teasing my brain about him and his relationship with sienna. Sienna is the unknown… her character is the hard to pin down. Its driving me nuts!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:53:37
Can’t wait for this book. I’ve been looking forward to it for so long. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:53:55

I am a huge fan of Nalini and can’t wait to get this book. The Psy-Changeling world is probably one of the most complex and well-constructed ones in PNR right now. I am very excited that we are getting closer to the release date.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:54:24
Oh, pick me! I am skipping the review so I can go into this with no expectations!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:54:48
I started reading Nalini Singh books by mistake. Thought it was a different author, but then read her book and realised she is an amazing author who makes my brain come alive. Love it! I want a copy. Please! Pretty please! Please?! Gimme, gimme, gimme!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:54:59
Just started to read these books after a friend of mine insisted (emphatically, very emphatically) and LOVE the two I’ve read so far. Would adore winning a copy of this book! Thank you!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:55:19
I’ve been looking forward to this book for so long. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:55:58
I cannot say how badly I want to read the review but I’m determined not to spoil the book!
I want (and will read) Kiss of Snow no matter the results, but sooner would always be better! This series has become one of my favorites and I’ve been dying to read a novel for this pairing since the characters were introduced (much like the elusive Cassie in the Breeds books, though that novel is a ways off).
An extra plus of receiving an ARC of Kiss of Snow would be writing my review of the book, between my Facebook, LJ and Amazon/Barnes and Nobel accounts I have quite a few friends who really love reading my reviews especially when they’re not sure what to read next.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:58:01
Great review! Definitely touched upon different things than other spoilery reviews I’ve read thus far. I’m not the type to get crazy about being spoiler-free — doesn’t impede my enjoyment of a book at all!
The Hawke/Sienna pairing is not my ideal, but I know Nalini will hit it out of the ballpark! Besides, I’m dying to know what happens, plotwise, in the psy/changling world!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:58:25
I’m in the midst of a Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling Binge! I just started this week, but my plan (because I recently started reading her in January) is to get myself ready and prepared for Hawk and Sienna’s book.
I too, from Slave to Sensation, hoped and wanted Hawk and Sienna to be together! I got 20 pages left of Hostage to Pleasure, then immediately jumping into Branded by Fire.
Yes! When I heard Hawk’s book was not yet out and then announced, i had to check WHO his heroine was. LOl
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:58:52
I deserve one of the eight books because I live in Germany and bought all books in english, because I can’t wait to read them.
I don’t think I will have enough money for the hard cover so I have to wait for the soft cover…
Sooo please!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:59:19
I’m going to read the review after I read the book. I want to read about all the juicy parts myself
Apr 12, 2011 @ 16:59:34
What an awesome review and thanks for the wonderful giveaway! I’ve heard a lot about this book and would kill for a chance to win a copy. :)
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:00:30
Kiss of Snow, I’m so excited I just cant wait
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:00:52
I’m looking forward to reading this book because I’m interested to see how Hawke and Sienna manage to make a relationship work between them given all of their issues and baggage. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:02:34
I love Nalini’s writing and have been anxiously awaiting Hawke’s book. Can’t wait for this one!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:02:38
I would love a copy of this book. I have read all the Psy/Changeling stories and her Guild Hunter books. I have been looking forward to Hawke and Sienna’s story for a long time.
Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:02:42
I LOVE this series. I have been waiting forever for this book. As for the age difference thing… My husband is 15 years older than me and it works.
Apr 12, 2011 @ 17:03:32
I have a friend who LOVES Nalini. I’ve been dying to read her for myself and this is a great opportunity.
