Harlequin Teen 5 Pack Giveaway

Katie McGarry

I emailed Harlequin and asked if they would be willing to do a giveaway for Katie McGarry’s book “Dare You To” because I enjoyed it so much. They said yes and offered up this great prize package:

  • 1 copy PUSHING THE LIMITS
  • 2 copies DARE YOU TO  (one to give to a friend)
  • 1 copy of THE IMMORTAL RULES by Julie Kagawa
  • 1 copy of THE GODDESS TEST by Aimee Carter

I loved the idea of getting two books of “Dare You To” so that a reader could gift a friend with it.  These are paper books that will look great on your bookshelf. Use the rafflecopter widget to enter by liking us on Facebook or leaving a blog comment about a funny and/or scary dare.

Tanks for the contest. I’m really liking he’s teen line. Hmm a funny or scary dare? Here in Idaho we do a lot of drag racing, my husband is glad I’ve grown out of it.

Funny or crazy dare..hmmmm….when I was five I dared my three year old sister to eat a mothball. I told her it was candy. I knew very well it wasn’t candy. Mom had said to never ever eat them. Far from scaring me, it made me intensely curious as to what would happen if someone (not me!) were to eat one. So I dared my sister and she ate one. Mom found out in time. Ipecac was administered, sis was fine and my bottom was sore for hours after receiving a well-deserved spanking.

As a secondary teacher, I see way too much teen romance all day long so I’ve shied away from teen and new adult genres. Maybe this series will change my mind.

As far as dares, I was always pretty shy so nothing crazy here… probably eating some weird food.

I loved Pushing The Limits. Despite the popularity of the book in the blogosphere I was not expecting to like it. I put a hold on Dare You To at my library as soon as I was done with the first book. I was a little leery of Isaiah not being the hero of the book. But after reading your review I feel better about it.

I had a very mundane childhood. No funny or crazy dares unfortunately :)

Hmmm, the only dare I can remember being around is when my 7 year old cousin dared her friend to sniff the red pepper flakes at the pizza place. One got stuck up her nose and burned for a full day before it came out. My cousin’s mother who’s a nurse basically tried everything she could think of to get this thing out including irrigating it many times. Alas, nothing worked. Everyone, including said friend, thought it pretty funny though.
