GIVEAWAY: Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy

Update: I’ll be closing the comments and ending the contest today (Jul 3) at 8 pm CST.

Erin McCarthy HOT finishRemember earlier this month when Cindy Hwang spoke about Hot Finish and you all wanted a copy and we weren’t giving any of them away?   That was cruel, right?   Well, we are making up for it by having a HUGE giveaway. And by huge, I mean that between Sarah at and we   at Dear Author, there will be a total of 40! finished copies (available to be mailed out next week) to be given away. We are giving 20 away here at Dear Author.

This is part one of our Save the Contemporary campaign for Hot Finish. It’s in mass market, unlike the previous first releases in the series which were in trade (although they are now re-released in mass market). In the week leading up to the release date of August 3, we will be giving away an iPod Touch to anyone who spreads the good word about Contemporaries and Hot Finish.

So why should you want this book?   Well, Cindy describes   HOT FINISH by  Erin McCarthy thusly:

I love love love Erin’s smart, sexy Fast Track contemporary romance series, and from the moment she introduced Suzanne and Ryder in the first book, FLAT-OUT SEXY, I knew their romance would be something special. And it absolutely is–Suzanne and Ryder have a sexual chemistry together that practically leaps off the page, and what’s so wonderful is how funny they are together too. If you love second chance romances, you’ll love HOT FINISH!

What I liked about this book, I have listed in numerical order:

  1. Suzanne is a ballsy chick who is at times brash and abrasive but is always sympathetic.
  2. Ryder wants Suzanne back, bad.
  3. Hotness, folks, hotness.
  4. And funny

So in summary, we have a totally fresh heroine, a hero who can’t stop thinking about his ex, tons of good natured hot sex with a fun vibe.   You want? Just leave a comment about whether you watch stock car racing.

She self publishes NA and contemporaries (and publishes with Berkley and Montlake) and spends her downtime reading romances and writing about them. I’ve been known to watch a race or two in my day. But I’m not married to it like I am to football.

Can I say how happy I am that this is being released in MM? I hate having to wait for the MM version if it’s been released in trade irst. So thanks, Berkley!

I also like to read about those bad boys!

  25. sao
    Jul 01, 2010 @ 23:35:11

Never watched Nascar, but I’d love to read the book. And hey, it might just inspire me to see a race. When I was in Jordan this spring, I made a point of visiting the desert, just to see if all those desert sheik books got it right.

The kids liked the desert more than the coral and fish filled Red Sea and Petra, which was so, so, so much more awesome than you could imagine.

Next, I intend to smuggle myself on an Italian Billionaire’s yacht. More fact checking.

    Jul 01, 2010 @ 23:40:41

I’ve seen a couple of races years ago but don’t watch it now.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series and having been trying to wait patiently for Suzanne and Ryder’s story. :)

Despite being made fun of horribly by my dear husband, I love stock car racing! It’s a guilty pleasure. I used to even listen on the radio when working as background noise on Sundays :) I’m not as dedicated a fan now that I’ve moved away from my fellow fans, but it’s still fun to follow!

Hmmm, I think I’d rather hear about sex with a fun hero than with a fun vibe. Oh wait, you meant… ;-)

Never have, don’t think I would want to… I don’t like watching sports where people night get killed.

OH PLEASE!!!! I want this book so bad. Ever since I finished “Hard and Fast” I have been desperately waiting for “Hot Finish”! I loved the story of “Emma Jean” and Ty. It was sexy as hell but still very sweet and warm. I especially like the way Ty became when he broke up with his “Emma Jean”, as he called her. The hot, studly male was just pathetic.. And how he “read” “Much Ado about Nothing” for her.

I LOVED “Flat Out Sexy” as well. Ms. McCarthy proves you can have hot sexy alpha heros who are loving, kind and human.

Now it’s for Suzanne’s story and I know Ryder will win her back. We already get a hint of it at the end of “Hard and Fast”!

I wasn’t a NASCAR fan till I read these books and now I’m watching it with NEW EYES!!

    PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE consider my entry!!
