Favorite sport–hockey, hands-down. I’ll read about other sports, but football’s the only other one I can sit through a game of. I’ve been dying to read Jaci’s books!

My favorite courtesan book is A Gentleman Undone by Cecilia Grant. Okay, so she was a mistress during the novel, but she used to be a courtesan so it counts, right?

    Thanks again for the giveaways!

Have there been any romances written about figure skating or ice dancing? In real life, those sports have resulted in notable romances. A competitive cheerleading romance would also tickle me pink. Guys who are competitive cheerleaders are really buff (in order to toss and catch others, as well as hold them aloft) and a good number of them are also football players. (Different competitive seasons. States like Texas have HUGE football and competitive cheerleading cultures.)

Has Jeannie Lin written a courtesan romance before? I did skim some of her Harlequin Historicals a while ago.

I’m a hockey fanatic through and through, and especially love the m/m books HOW TO QUIT PLAYING HOCKEY by Isa K and IN THE PENALTY BOX by Riley Shane. Even though it’s a little dark, the (male) courtesan romance THE INVENTOR’S COMPANION by Ariel Tachna is well-written.

Favorite courtesan book: It’s a novella actually- Elizabeth Hoyt’s “Ice Princess” it’s one of the few books I’ve read featuring a courtesan where the heroine was clever, without self-loathing and there wasn’t some crazy contrived reason for her becoming one. I really enjoyed the hero and heroine in the story as well.

Honestly, all of these books sound amazing! Jeannie Lin has been on my list of authors to try out asap for a while (clearly I’m very good about getting through said list), and while I’m not familiar with Heather Lire, the description of that book sounds really interesting. My favorite sports romances have been about football, golf and hockey players as written by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Rachel Gibson, none of which I really watch, but those alpha guys and the women who love them draw me in every time.
The second book is appealing because it has an heroine who is at the end of her rope–and haven’t we all been there at one time? How she recovers/struggles to come back intrigues me.

Lydia from Cecilia Grant’s A Gentleman Undone, for being not beautiful, for enjoying sex, for being good with numbers. Coco from Judith Ivory’s Sleeping Beauty for her toothache and navigating the older woman, younger man trope, and again being unapologetic about her history, Didier in Cara McKenna’s Curio for being claustrophobic, obsessed with clockwork, and hawt.

I’ve read Jaci but I’m unfamiliar with the other two authors. However, it’s always nice to make new friends!

My favorite sport is tennis, but I’ve enjoyed the sports in Susan Elizabeth Phillips (football & golf) and Rachel Gibson’s books (hockey). I’m not a big fan of courtesan books, but Cecilia Grant’s book, A Gentleman Undone, was well-written.
