Ok, Derby Girl is a perfect example of a striking cover that completely captures my attention. And it doesn’t hurt that cover model looks like Laura Prepon’s Alex Vause in my favorite new tv obsession, Orange is the New Black.

Favorite book by Carina? hmm…I don’t pay attention to publishers unless I am actively boycotting one… so I’ll just go with the one I know I’ve read and enjoyed “Goddess with a Blade’ by Lauren Dane.

I’ve read a few attempts at erotic or romance choose-your-own-adventure–a format I love!–and all but one of them really, really disappointed by not making strong use of the format or not giving the reader any sense of agency. That said, I want to see another one that works, and I’m rooting for this author to have done a great job!

I did recently read something from Carina Press that I liked a lot, but I’m not sure what it is–and there’s no easy way to see the publishers on my eBook list. Looks like I need to invest in some of that software that helps catalogue books.

ETA: The Derby Girl cover did catch my eye when I was about to pass the giveaway by.

I have not read a Carina Press book yet. This would be a nice way to start :)

I’ve really enjoyed every Shannon Stacey book and novella that has been published through Carina. I’m also reading and like Breath on Embers by Anne Calhoun, The Winning Season by Alison Packard, and Knowing the Score by Kat Latham. I’m sure there are plenty more but I tend to associate books with authors rather than with publishers.

Not sure what my favorite Carina Press title is but I do own many of their releases. I enjoy following Angela James on Twitter.

The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden. I read that one in pretty much one sitting. So good.
