Tom Cruise Unauthorized Bio to Face $100 Million Lawsuit

031235986101mzzzzzzz.jpgThe UK wouldn’t publish it but St. Martin’s Press is showing no fear with its publication of Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography on January 15. Andrew Morton is the author of a new unauthorized biography of Tom Cruise which alleges, amongst other things, that Suri Cruise was “conceived like Rosemary’s Baby”. In the movie, a young woman is impregnated with the Devil’s child. Morton goes on to state that some fanatical members of the religious organization believe that Suri Cruise is born of the frozen sperm of L. Ron Hubbard. Who knew L. Ron had such cute genes?*

Other allegations include Nicole Kidman’s fear of blackmail over sex tapes made with other Scientologists and Cruise’s mission to recruit David Beckham.

Morton quotes the Playboy interview with Hubbard’s son, Rondal De Wolf, about the use of sex by Scientologists to control their members:

: “You have complete control of someone if you have every detail of his sex life and fantasy life on record. In Scientology the focus is on sex. Sex, sex, sex.

“The first thing we wanted to know about someone we were auditing was his sexual deviations. All you’ve got to do is find a person’s kinks, whatever they might be.

“Their dreams and their fantasies. Then you can fit a ring through their noses and take them anywhere. You promise to fulfil their fantasies or you threaten to expose them.”

Cruise is reportedly mulling a $100 million lawsuit against Morton and publisher, St. Martin’s Press.

One hundred dollars? :-/ SMP must be cowering in horror.

I have to admit, the Rosemary’s Baby thing cracks me up.

Oh, man! :-D $100 would have been so much funnier. And it’d be more of an insult, wouldn’t it? Tom Cruise is like, “I was Maverick, dudes! This trash isn’t even worth the price of five copies, so I’ll just ask for $100 in damages. Yawn.”

Maybe it’s just me, though *grin* TomKat is too unreal, anyway — I can’t see her as anything but Joey from Dawson’s Creek.

I’m glad he’s suing. If this author wants to make a name for himself, then he should become a celebrity in his own right instead of trying to earn a few bucks off of someone else’s reputation. I despise people like this and I hope Tom wins.

Anything that has “Unauthorized” in it’s title is more than suspect.

Actually, Morton is a sort of celebrity on his own– tabloid journalist turned biographer.

Since my respect for Tom Cruise is rock bottom any more based on his own actions and words nothing Morton could write would affect it.

Scientologists are sue crazy. They have a policy of “fair game”, which also includes “dead agenting.” L. Ron Hubbard defined dead agenting as totally disgracing a person by what ever means necessary so that they would no longer be believed. Just do a google on Paulette Cooper.
