Shocking Kindle Number Predictions
The analysts are getting high on Kindle numbers. Collins Stewart analyst Sandeep Aggarwal predicts that Kindle revenues will be approximately $300mm this year. Piper Jaffray says that 2009 revenues will be $405mm. Mark Mahaney of Citibank to Techcrunch that 10% of all books sold in 1Q 2009 where Kindle ebooks.

Today’s snail mail included a promotional brochure from Sprint. Among the toys it was touting was the Kindle. that’s no surprise since it runs on their network. But it made me wonder – why no Kindle apps for Sprint smartphones? They have two Instincts models, the Palm Pre on the way, and a truckload of Blackberries and Windows Mobile devices. And yet, there’s an app for the iPhone.
I can read every other format on my smartphone. Why not Kindle? Methinks someone is missing out on making some money.
