Samhain Launches New Program to Feature “New to You” Authors
I think this is a great idea. Samhain Publishing is launching a Discover New Authors program that is designed to draw attention to debut “new to you” authors. If you go to this site, you’ll see four books with covers, blurbs and download links. You can download the first HALF of each book to see if you like it. From the Press Release:
We currently have four titles available, My Fair Captain by JL Langley, The Bounty by Beth Williamson, Don’t Let Go by Sydney Somers and Winter’s Daughter by J.C. Wilder. In 2009 we will be expanding this program to release a new Discover New Authors title every Wednesday.
Edited to add: Initially I thought that this was for debut authors but it is “new to you” authors. Sorry for the inaccuracy.

Awesome idea! This pretty much guarantees that I’ll start buying books from Samhain.

This is totally unwanted advice, but I think this good idea will be more useful if it is featured more prominently on the Samhain page. Currently the link to the Samhellions is found at the bottom left hand menu, which is something I’m sure most people overlook when they visit the busy front page of the publisher.
